Well then here's an easy peasy psychological solution to your malaise. Although it is completely dependent on your dedication to actually doing it. Hopefully you have something portable to listen to music with. Load up on your absolute favorite and some new music you're looking forward to. Then go somewhere, anywhere really, and enjoy the s*** out of that music. Then go to another place and enjoy the s*** out of that music some more.

I do that all the time.

Good. Keep it up. The rest will follow. Just remember though that there's always someplace new to discover

When studying I used to try to recall everything I knew about the topic. That will help you build confidence by demonstrating "I don't have to memorize 8 minutes because I already know 2." Then you're really memorizing 6 minutes......

Then study hard for no more than 30 minutes. After that, do something completely different for a few minutes. Angry birds, yelling at Acidic's Pepsi......anything but studying. Then repeat.

This time it will be "I don't need to memorize 8 minutes because I already know 3 minutes of it."

Most studying problems come from anxiety. The constant reevaluation of your progress is a good way to relieve this by demonstrating "hey....I"m getting there." Plus every time you return to study mode you'll have less and less to focus on.

I wish I could know how to keep my cool like that, skare.

It's built up by practice. Try my method (it came from my mom) and see if it helps. Evaluating your existing knowledge is powerful because it provides direction. Once you know the direction needed the rest can follow.

Record yourself saying it and listen to it over and over again. It's what I do when I have a crazy long monologue for a play. Speak along with it too and it'll be carved into your brain.
