    Broken Mouse Empty Broken Mouse

Post by Quarik Mon Jul 02, 2012 4:59 pm

So... my mouse broke earlier today, and I'm looking for another 5-button mouse that's not too expensive. I was using an Logitech M510 ($40), and now I'm looking at Razers ($70-$80) and Logitechs ($40-$80). As badly as my M510 broke, I still generally trust Logitech products. I've heard bad things about Razer, but...

The main mice I'm looking at:
    http://www.logitech.com/en-us/gaming/mice-keyboard-combos/gaming-mouse-g300 , http://www.logitech.com/en-us/gaming/mice-keyboard-combos/g600-mmo-gaming-mouse , http://www.logitech.com/en-us/gaming/mice-keyboard-combos/g9x-laser-mouse , http://store.razerzone.com/store/razerusa/en_US/pd/productID.169416100/categoryId.35208800 , and http://store.razerzone.com/store/razerusa/en_US/pd/productID.169418900/categoryId.35208800

I was wondering if any of you had a mouse you really liked, had any of these, or have heard anything about any mice. Now... to read lots of reviews!

    Claw or palm?

i use a palm grip and I use the SteelSeries Sensei, super smooth and works wonders.

you cant go wrong with a death adder though

on another note, i would stay away from wireless as much as possible, unless your using a laptop, because your right at the desk anyway and with a wired mouse you get rid of connection issues, batteries etc. whatever works for you though, just my opinion!

It also helps knowing what games you play most of, 5-7 buttons are great for FPS's with "reload" and quick swap bound buttons. 8-15 buttons are good for MMOs RTS's and A/RPGs for all the abilities you need to use.

If im being captain obvious, feel free to stop me silly i had to buy a mouse about half a year ago so I was researching for about 3 weeks before i chose my Sensei

Definitely palm. Wireless is a must though. My desk arrangement is really strange and I'd have to have a really long wire for a wired mouse to work, and it has a bit of drag on the mouse that I really hate.

I have a Sony Vaio wireless laser mouse. I know nothing about them but this was on offer at £30 instead of £50 and I liked the colour. It's pearlised red, very neat, sleek shape, invisible buttons and a wheel thing in the middle. I guess you've realised I'm not a techhead.

I've been doing some more research on these, and apparently most of the ones in my price range are wired... *sadface*

On the plus side, I've decided on the DeathAdder. The G300's lack of thumb buttons was the dealbreaker, and the Sensei (while really super awesome looking and hopefully working), was slightly outside of my final price range.

Hmmm. So apparently the Deathadder has a really high failure rate... I return to the search!

Decided to get the Logitech G700 because it was slightly cheaper than the Sensei and I had $55 worth of gift cards for Best Buy.

Thanks for all the help. Now I can game properly again!

The older normal Razer Naga is what I use. The new one is meh.
