LOL, I was told by someone that sl 50 in Btown is where the action is at. But that is too high. My idea for Btown is the following.

Sl 40, Activate EoD from the top and make your way to the bottom bonfire. In anyway you can. If we see another gravelord sign on the way down we should interfere with that gravelord's progress just for the hell of it.

Once in the bottom you may choose to wait or move on and kill queelag.

I will make it to this one and I hope people wait. With the right tools you can own people in the bottom of Btown.

My sincere hope is that I run into some BPs on the way down. Don't know if that will happen.

And Fear honestly, if you really don't want to go through that it is ok. Just use the shortcut and curse down there for a while if you preffer, and even then you can just kill queelag and op out of this stop.

I heard Sens is best at sl 50 is that right?

Actually Raging, My current build was made with you in mind and in the bottom of Btown I will be supper effective twisted

Have spent another hour GLing and got noting at bottom.

So started invading and am getting lots of hosts. Since there are lots to invade there must be traffic.

Just seems no one invades a GL that close to boss.

Lol, I can only imagine DvX twisted

That was how I originally tested GLing in depths actually and got nothing.

But ya Sens would be 50, tons of invaders there so we would get a ton of traffic.

We would also go up to +10 i think.

And next stop after could be Anor at 55. happy

@ Raging, that appears to be the case with people not wanting to invade near the boss. I should include that in the how to properly gravelord thread. It is a good point worth considering.

@ Fear, I have been thinking about Btown from the beginning, thinking of a better way, a different way of doing it. In three stops we have pretty much done the same thing right so I think it was a good opportunity to change it up a bit.

    Glad you liked the idea!

At what time did you try this on what day? Today or yesterday?

Also, if people will not run fast the signs will be visible and accessible. Additionally, it should not take 5 hours to get down there that is not the intent.

The intent is to go down to the second bonfire and not to look for signs. If on your way down you happen to see a sign then by all means invade before you are invaded haha. However if someone wants to fish for gravelord signs for 5 hours that is cool too.

Who knows maybe since we advertise this some uninvited players might show up hehe.

If a player gets down to the 2 bonfire and wishes to kill queelag and wait for sen's that will be acceptable. Easy op out while still playing for a little bit.

But yea what you said is true, that is why the ideal situation is for more participants...

Oh and thanks for the scouting report!!

Testing was done yesterday and today.

And a lot of the current participants enjoy the PVP aspect and the duels.

So I think we may lose most of our crowd if we are actually just trolling for Black Phantoms.

    Just my opinion though.

Hmm, I am somewhat confused Raging, what did I write that made you think we are just trolling for BPs?

I think we should PvP in Btown but your concern is that there will not be enough non particpants (as in people passing by) to make the PvP enjoyable right?

    Yes, that is my concern.

Sorry I thought you wanted us to walk down to bottom and then reset back to top and walk again.

Anyways yes there seems to be no GL traffic at either bonfire. And if we have the another turn out like we did friday night then we will all be bored. The only thing that saved us from boredom was all the randoms. Most were greifers sadly though.

lol! Yea that would be completely unreasonable! No one way trip down, stay if you want deal.

If someone chooses to hunt other gravelords in the upper part that is their choice. I will probably take my time getting to the first bonfire, wait a while then move on to the second bonfire.

There are some items there that I would like to pick up anyway.

Well the first event has been demoted to just practice time. In the OP it will be called practice session. hehe

I know for Fed that is a good time, and that time was made for people in asia/australia but only Whitechikz has shown up.

Gravelord Tour in the Depths was a success. At least in my lobby we had great PvP activity. I fought constantly with 10 different players from the participant list and GL chat list. I had 2 non-participant SoV and 1 DW invasions. These numbers tell us that participants are crucial in PvP rather than rely on other occasional players. I believed stream would promote other non-participants to join us more frequently, but unfortunately that was not the case. Maybe non-participants are seeking for level 125 more than other low levels PvP.

Let me give you a few data I gathered from saturday stream and you could take them into account for planning next tour events.
    1. Stream started at 18:00 UTC (00:00:00).
    2. First encounter happened with DW invasion at 00:29:33.
    3. First successful connection with participant was via RSS, thanks to Fed at 00:52:14.
    4. "Invisible player???" Invasion of non-participant player shinoki76, and 2 participants BT90001 and Fed, starting at 00:59:01.First, I fought with non-participant. Then I bowed with Fed at 01:01:35. BT90001 jumped on me at 01:01:59. Fed stepped out from 2v1 fight at 01:02:42. After fight Fed told me he didn't see a player. So, my question for BT90001 is, did you see Fed?
    5. Here are some attack numbers I was able to land to other players with BSS. AR for R2 BSS + gold pine resin ranged from 72 ( Mr_Beck) to 164 (Yukon/SgtPigeon; but he was fighting without a chest). Average AR was around 100 for R2 BSS with resin. Backstab AR was 162-231. I believe +5 weapons were good choice for GL event.
    6. AR for great combustion was much higher, that's why players were using pyromancy a lot. AR ranged from 141 (Mr_Beck) to 256 (King_Friday_XIII). Great fireball did even more damage. In combination with Crown of Dusk and BD ring player easly did AR around 500 or more. I remember I was hit once with GL and cost me half of life.
    7. Most of the players from participant and GL chat list were SL 30. But not all.
    8. Most of the players from participant and GL chat list obey written rules. But not all.
    9. I've captured some very nice fights on big screen at 03:27:05-03:32:30, 03:38:15-03:40:48, 03:46:33-03:50:25 and 04:02:25-04:06:56.
    10. Fun time with the "glitcher" at 03:46:33 and 04:02:27. Thanks TehInfamousAmos.
    11. End of the stream 04:13:21.
    12. Event then continued at least for 2 more hours.

I thank for fine duels to my lobby group: federally, Mr_Beckam87, SgtPigeon/Yukon, TehInfamousAmos, King_Friday_XIII, Gagis_God, BT90001, XxSilver_LeonxX and wisher. I hope haven't missed someone. happy

Thanks Al for that information. I have not been able to watch still
Chi, you won't be alone if you come in around 12 midnight my time ( 1 pm your time) but I know that is not always possible
Fed, well you and Raging have different observations. The first event is not as popular or busy as the second event from what I have read. I am not down about the 2nd event, I can tell that one is successful.

My disappointment is with some who have said they would support the cause and have not shown up.(but that always happens in every event) and the fact that the 1st event was made for people in a different time zone and only 1 has show up.

Tour in Blightown could be something totally different than others, especially for the hard terrain (swamps, high areas), truth is that there isn't much invaders, actually it's one of the hardest parts of the game, gravelording there is just mean ;P
Most people will be hanging at the bottom bonfire for sure, it's easier to get there.
Maybe i'm gonna finally see black phantoms there cheers

I like Blighttown. Gravelording there should be very interesting. What worries me are frame rates. With 2 or even 3 phantoms in the game frame rates of some parts of Blighttown drop to minimum, thus we will have bad PvP experience. But still I don't want to skip this area.

I have an idea to consider. Maybe we should duel in swamp. With this restriction we might seen completely different, more creative character builds and PvP play. And who has run tournament in swamp?
Probably no one, so let us be the first. To NG + Gravelord Tour of Lordran SL 70 9-15-2012 Butterfly Forest Area - Page 24 3063782546

I'm a little worried about Btown. Framerates and how Vast the place is, Where exactly would everyone put down the EOD? There isn't one place everyone goes in that part of Dark Souls.

If im not mistaken , DX has a special plan for Btown if we are all able to execute it properly.

but we'll mainly be spreading misery in the bonfire tunnel located in the Swamp :pirat:
