Pyro Mists
I doubt it, and I don't have the options to test at the moment, so I'd figured I'd ask for now....
Pyro hand level do anything for increasing the effectiveness of the poison/toxic/acidic mists?

Re: Pyro Mists
i think it increases the poisin/toxic damage per second, but im not 100% sure on that either... about acid: i really don't know, mayb it does more damage to the gear so it breaks even faster.

Re: Pyro Mists
Those spells are like useless though aren't they? People try and use them in closed areas but just keep around it and you're fine?

Great for PVE IMO, less the acid

Re: Pyro Mists
The spells are useless in organized pvp, like the kiln, because the terrain is so open. They're not useless in cramped areas where jumping around isn't possible or is too dangerous (tomb of the giants, some parts of the burg, some parts of the catacombs, some parts of New Londo, some parts of blightown, etc.). I doubt that their effectiveness is changed by pyro hand strength. In demon's souls, your magic adjust had nothing to do with the effectiveness of the clouds.

I prefer throwing dung for toxic, much higher chance of hitting.

@strangejoy:
noone said it depends on MagAdj., he just asked if the pyro glove does anything to the spells... and even pyrospells are (as proven) affected by MagicAdj. as from Bellowing Dragoncrest Ring.
so... anyone can prove that the pyro glove affects the spells?

The level of your glove directly affects your MagAdj... you guys are talking about the same thing. The question is does MagAdj affect the clouds.

Re: Pyro Mists
Yes, we're absolutely talking about the same thing. To clarify, my answer is that the clouds were completely unaffected by modifiers, catalysts/MagAdj in Demons souls, and I think we can be virtually certain that the same is true in Dark Souls (e.g., the pyro hand strength should not affect the mists).

Re: Pyro Mists
Well I like how you all guess and claim you know. As a person that tested it, yes th level of your glove effects the cloud but not the damage. It increases the rate at which they get poisoned/toxic/gear deterioration.

Re: Pyro Mists
Tomb of the giants is easy to manuver though, the only ones those would affect seem to be newer players doing these areas for the first time. There are ways down from the cramp places, just use them to avoid your mists

Te mists I see in pvp rarely. However when I do see it ppl use it to buy time to heal etc. Something else to maneuver for the opponent.

Re: Pyro Mists
I just wanted a dragon head breath build (fire/poison/toxic/less acidic, but its there)
since all of the breaths you "spew" out of your mouth
the dragon vomit build!

And instead of using the torso stone, you wear something really crazy, like hollow thief set. That would be nasty

Re: Pyro Mists
they're useless for me,never used them will probably never do
because when you're inhaling to throw up the stuff your opponent can easily just walk beside you and bam backstab

Re: Pyro Mists
They can be useful in pvp as sort of improvised smoke screens. With the slumbering dragoncrest ring you could throw out a CSS or a lightning bolt or a dragonslayer arrow without them ever seeing it coming.

Re: Pyro Mists
the mists are useless in pvp but you can use them on some occasions in pve.
the only time i used the poison mist was at the phalanx creatures in painted world, where you can stand inside the door and spray poison on them easily affecting 4-5 of them with each spray. Apart from that, the mists are pretty much useless i'd say

Slumbering dragoncrest and hush does not affect pyromancy or spell sounds it is useless to have it on as a phantom.

(Poison)
Poison Arrow : -3hps
Poison Knife : -4hps
Blighttown Swamp : -4hps
Poison Mist : -3hps
(Toxic)
Dung : -7hps
Toxic Mist : -6hps
Gravelord Sword : ?
can't think of anything else that does it, as for the gravelord sword, can't seem to get it to catch on any mobs before they die, if anyone has the number for this?

Re: Pyro Mists
I disagree Omni, they won't see it but who would stand there and wait? Or who wouldn't hear the sound of the lightning/cast. I watch anime with headphones while I pvp and I can still hear both. Honestly the only worthful toxification is the gravelord sword, it does quick toxic and hits good in pvp. People seem to enjoy using dung lately but that never works, its way to easy to dodge unless you roll right into it and get the stunlock.
