Always do a pamphlet for something. Like an information pamphlet you would see in a doctor's office or perhaps about global warming/saving energy (did one of these myself). Another good one is to do a magazine layout. If you want to do it based on dark souls, do a game magazine spread on the game itself. Magazine spreads are always challenging and exciting to make look good and inticing. Plus, they give you the freedom to pretty much pick any topic you want and allow you alot of reference materials for ideas.
