Right? I was just out smoking and browsing top stories on my phone and this kept coming up. I guess there are people all over the country saying it's zombie attacks. Evidently there's this new drug in the southern US that's making people eat each other.

You knw this is how it starts? Some isollated icident everyone sees but no-one believes then tomorrow America is zombies.

It may sound silly, but I have to admit my heart quickened for a second while I was reading it. Totally had the same thought. Like everyone's blowing it off now, but tomorrow we're going to wake up and the world will be coming apart.

I'm going to skip the middle man and just drive to the mall tonight.

Stop by the gun store first. Get in now before everyone else wants to.

I certainly won't be stopping by the croquet mallet store.

As far as zombies go, I don't care what causes them to eat people as long as they're eating people. You pretty much could call someone who's on bath salts (the drug you referred to, Plastic) a zombie. This is insane. It's the new LSD, and I told my girlfriend about it and I guess she first heard about it six months ago.

I was reading that also. On a serious note, it's a pretty sad statement about contemporary values that people, knowing full well what can happen, are continuing to sell/buy the stuff. I hate to sound like every other broken liberal record, but it all comes back to poverty.

Isn't there a relatively recent zombie flick where the epidemic starts because of a drug? I swear I've seen it somewhere before.

I right there with you. Society is sometimes so far gone on these things, but this is such a new low in my own opinion.

Call me conspiracy theorist, but just imagine if whoever bakes this stuff and sells it to vendors actually knew this would happen and planned for it.

I used to work with this kid who was a viral biology major at a really well known ivy league school, one of the most brilliant people I've ever met. He used to talk about this virus that was discovered not long ago that actually has the ability to infect, kill, then reanimate dead cells in order to control them. We had a lot of long talks about the zombie apocalypse starting due to it mutating or something. With that knowledge one can't help but question the possibilities.

4chan went completely mad with this stuff the other day. My garage has enough food and drink to last about 2 months though, so I'm prbably good.

I like to pretend I'm sane most of the time. I just have to hope my home made blocking chip works when Im not using the hat.

So, now that the government are going to try officially hide any news of cannibalism in an attempt to stop and divert attention from the oncoming apocalypse, what should I do? (I'm pretty bored, maybe I'll get all my weapons set up nicely or do something even remotely useful).

Well I'm set for melee weapons, and I've got a folding bow and a homemade crossbow stored safely away in the attic. I don't really trust guns as a method of staying alive, so I might get a semi-auto hunting rifle or a sniper just in case I need to pick off a few from range. I have a friend and a family member who live in Australia, so I'll move there if any more news develops

You aint got nothing on New Zealand. I have an agreement with nineteen people spread throughout the city, all holding survival goods (including myself), that should an outbreak occur we can head to the nearest member of the coalition and hunker down until the Urban Phase is over.
