Zone of the Enders Thread

Alright, everytime I play dark souls, it kinda just reminds me of my favorite games over my life. While Dark Souls currently holds the top, it still has a strong competitor, the Zone of the Enders series.

For those who don't know, the third installment (or possibly a filler game) was announced recently. Screenshots came out with it (seen below) that showed off what looks like Jehuty, Anubis, and a new OF using a scythe. Quite frankly, I'm excited, on a scale I hadn't felt outside of the PC dark souls announcement.

So, to make it simple, lets talk ZOE

From what I just read, and an educated guess, it'll explain the whole 'will of metatron' nohman was on about at the end of Anubis.

I know a lot about the will of metatron due to the anime series. Dear lord Idolo, may it rest in peace.

I shudder at the thought of what the internet would do to metatron. >_> I wonder if the developers would work faster if held at vector cannon point (I kid) I blame all the super MGS fanboys for the huge delay. I love MGS but the series should have ended sooner then it did.

MGS technically isnt over. The big problem was because the ZOE fans werent loud enough until last year when the ZOE collection was anounced. WHen Kojima heard them, it was like a wave of invisible energy that suddenly became visible.

Either way, a decade later, and all our dreams come to reality. I can't wait for this, Im paying all I need to to get the super extra awesome collectors + 4x edition.

Aye to that. I hope they have something awesome like a gundam master grade level model kit... or a Jehuty mask!

omg, I would love anubis's staff. Id go everywhere with it lol.

I know in some special edition of the ZOE HD collection, they are shipping idolo as a blu ray disc, which I would love to have.

What took him so long to announce the 3rd game ?
Had an idea for a Anubis tattoo a while back but money became an issue since it would have been pretty big...god i love Z.O.E. !

Anyway, can't wait for this

I think it took long to announce because it wasn't in production till sometime between this year and last year. Then on top of that, they are putting it on their new engine, which being its a new engine, might be a bit harder to make because its new technology that may have been made by them, but that doesn't mean they are godlike masters of it lol.

Either way, its rumored that the new 3D models for these OFs are going to be shown off at E3

Oh my god yay! I'm excited, just please can we get a campaign longer then 6 hours? The first 2 were incredibly short.

For those who haven't played the games on ps2, they're getting an HD makeover for this winter. They just released the HD trailer for it, so here:

I was going to make a new thread asking what everyone thought about the new HD collection now that it's out, but this thread will do!

So I pre-ordered the collectors edition with the Art book and it's pretty awesome, I wish it was a hard back but hey beggers can't be choosers here lol. Being the big ZOE fan that I am I of course read the reviews on it and was mostly surprised... I see a lot of complaining about framerates. Maybe it's just me talking through my nostalga glasses but I've not seen as much frame rate issues as the reviews make it out to have... and I have the PS3 verision. Yes, it studders in a few spots but nothing that has been to distracting yet...The past year I've bought a few HD collections and remakes. IMHO Okami has been the best one, with the worst by far being the almost unplayable Silent Hill HD collection.... but IGN freaking raved about it... I would say ZOE got a run of the mill, pretty decent HDifying.

Anyways.. what did you guys think of the HD collection?
