It's fine it's fine. Say it however you wish, I just based it off what was going on that night. >_> it was cloudy, and a friend of mine had misspelled my name. So yeah.

Maybe australians are just jealous of New Zealand's abundance of sheep..

We have thoroughly pacified this thread with talk about small flightless birds. Onto the next one!

Re: Why was the jblackmel thread locked?
Well, you guys certainly diffused this thread. I'd say that that is a better way to tamper down a potentially volatile than thread than outright locking it.
It's done with a lighter touch, y'know?

Mission complete
by the way, the way we just tempered down the thread is also not allowed, we we derailed it which is also grounds for a lock...
Self reporting anyone? (though I already sent one when I first saw the thread)

Reminds me of that weird sci-fi book about the sick immortality sheep.

Re: Why was the jblackmel thread locked?
Cloud dont you dare! I was always confused cause in the introduce yourself you said your name was Eli but k and l are right next to each other on the keyboard so i thought you mispelled it. And we are not jealous, we dont have time to be jealous, too busy fighting off the recent snake swarm.

I thought it was mutated kangaroos with nuclear missles in their pouches. Or maybe that was last week...

Like I said, someone misspelled my name and I thought it sounded alright. If I made an account today it might be hot kiwi or hot chinchilla.

Re: Why was the jblackmel thread locked?
Thats less diffused, more derailed.
The mods here are highly permissive. If they bother to lock something, its probably best left alone. In the entire time i've been here i've seen fewer than 15 threads locked, outside of r a request from the op and the forum discussions section.

This may seem like you are just trying to cause unrest against their decision rather than finding out. I assume you were more so curious, but that's how it could appear.
I just hate that sort of all-powerful, undemocratic form of censorship. We keep this forum running shouldn't we have a say as to whether a certain thread should or shouldn't be locked?
I take umbrage to statements like this. We allow for a considerable amount of expression and debate, and that is made evident by the dozens of posters who have made thousands of posts, the amount of facilitation we do to promote your events and organize the site to benefit everyone and help deliver the most this game has to offer. From time to time certain threads run their course especially ones that trod over age old debates that never result in accord. We are not, nor never have been a censoring gestapo, dragging innocent victims away in the night, erasing all evidence that they existed. We solicit feedback, enact changes to benefit the community and do so without asking anything in return. The admin and mod team who really keep the forum running through maintenance, coding, moderation, and pruning do so out of love for the game and the community and do so in a very decidedly democratic, professional and outstanding fashion. I don't think I need to take a poll to see how you all mostly feel and that's the reason I can make the prior sentence with conviction.

Re: Why was the jblackmel thread locked?
I am locking this thread as it is just a continuation of a discussion that generates too much unnecessary animosity between regular users. General "heated" discussions and strong points of view are ok, but we have instances of users flaming and insulting each other, which is against our forum rules.

I have posted a response as to why the original thread was locked in the original thread.
