Yeah, mages really are the one in terms of raw attack power.

I'm testing Soul Spear out in Anor Londo because I'm farming Silver Knights, my Soul Spear does 433, my Uchi BS does 427.

My SL 60 pvp character does over a 1000 damage with crystal soul spear.

Seeing as it's crystal soul spear, it definitely is if he's optimised the equipment to boost sorcery.
