Stat Scaling returns where do the diminishing returns come into play?

Ok for a bit of a spec of my toon which im now using as my main PVP

SL120

vit 41

atun19

end43 (i needed to carry something)

str29

dex21

resist11 (base)

intel8 (base)

faith 30

Now with this toon I use the man serpent great sword and the stats are (449dmg 1h) (524dmg 2h) with only 29 STR

Now with 50 STR (529dmg 1h) (547dmg 2h) which seems like nothing major unless you prefer to one hand your weapon.

So what’s the deal is it really worth it to take STR to 50 in some cases and if so which ones.

when two handing B scaling weapons do diminishing returns set in the most at 30? can the same be said for A scaling weapons at 40?

can i ask why 19 att? 16 gives you four slots which should be more then enough. as for scaling the difference between 29str and 40 str is 70ish dmg that is still worth it but your right its not anything spectacular. are you planning on using any dex weapons?

I guess i was not really clear.

I use my weapons 2 handed and were just talking about the STR stat 524 2 handed at 29 str vs 547 2handed at 50 str so now is it worth it ?

At 40 str a +15 MSGS is basically maxed. Two handing only gives you 17-20 extra AR. Goiung to 41 gives you an extra 1 AR while 39 - 40 gives you 6 AR. Hit 40 str and stop.

i understand what you meant, you basically answered your own question. i wouldnt go to 50 str cause like dough said its doesnt get much dmg increase after 40 str. if your plan is too two hand a msgs why 21 dex? and again why 19 att? thats something an int build might need but not faith(unless you plan on stacking wrath or something...)

it;s worth it for certain weapons if you wanna one hand them. my sl 120 paladin leeroy has 50 str and 30 faith because i wanted to 1h grant. theres other weapons worth one handing, like the DGH and DGA which require 46 str and have gooe 1h attacks. the msgs is my favorite gs and it hits hard, i would just take str to 40 and put the rest in end or vit. you have too much att and dex to be using the msgs only, the max dex you should have is 10(all my str builds have 8 which is how they started out)

I have DMB, Wrath o G, force, grave lord sword, Grave lord great sword.

I just wanted 5 slots.

and the 21 dex is for divine composite bow and the dark moon bow that I use as a back up for people who run away alot.
