    Small FYI: Stat scaling

Post by Seignar on Sat Aug 18, 2012 3:16 am

Just for your information, for those who want to know more or less your stat scaling benefits

    At 99 of that stat

    E: +1% - +10% AR
    D: +25% - +50% AR
    C: +50% - +75% AR
    B: +80% - +90% AR
    A: +100% - +120% AR
    S: +150% AR

Due to diminishing returns, you would roughly lose 10% of bonus AR IF you stay at 40 of the stat. The reason for varying % boosts is because their a sub division of stat scaling in weapons that can't be identified and can only be noticed during an upgrade.

Notice: There was no extensive analysis here...might be many errors...

There are also some oddities where the stat scaling are WAY off especially during multiple benefits for the same stat. For example: the Cursed Gratsword of Artorias gives a combination of +120% AR with having a C scaling in all stats. This would mean that each C scaling adds 30%, but it is suppose to add at least 50%.

The greatsword of Artorias (True) grants with 2 C scalings: +110% Physical AR (55% per stat) and +170% (!) Magical AR with 2 B scalings (85% per stat). This one ain't too gar fetched if we consider these scalings are at the lowest subdivision possible. But in the case of the CGS, the C scaling were treated as bottom tier D scalings.

    Thank you for your time.

Did you know there are actually many different variants of each letter? Like there is a C scaling, and then a C+ and C++ etc. It doesn't show the +'s, but you can see them when you compare weapons or watch how they upgrade, some weapons have higher scaling, but the same letter, as other weapons do.

That has already been written down:

    during an upgrade.
It was very noticeable when comparing weapons and the fact that the stat scaling goes blue but does not change when you do extensive upgrading.

The Halberd has a very high C scaling, I believe.

Your assumption on the cursed sword is way off. It may have a c scaling in each stat but the problem lies in that the magic damage is zero... as such you wont get an increase in AR at all since the scaling depends solely on the base damage of the weapon.
Your math on the regular version is spot on tho.
