Hooray for me!

For the first time ever I was able to pull off a backstab in PVP. Not just once, but twice. Hooray for me! This is not meant to devolve into a discussion of the code of ethics of using the back stab or not, it is solely meant to celebrate the level of mediocrity that my dark souls skills have reached. My averageness knows no bounds and I had to share it with someone, so this forum is the unfortunate winner.

If anyone else would like to share their stories of attaining such middling achievments, please feel free.

I killed a torch zombie once without getting half my health and stamina bars torn off by his frenzied swinging. True story.

I once killed an infested barbarian without being knocked off the platform into oblivion.

As a sunbro, I once managed to not pull out the binoculars after the Quelaag cutscene, but only once

In actuality, I managed to pull of my first pvp parry and riposte a few days ago (yes I know I created a thread about this already, but I am still really proud of it )

Berkut - I would start a new thread on a daily basis. Shout if from the mountain tops. These feats are not to be thought of lightly they are important moments in our dark souls existance. A parry riposte is glorious.

For the first time, I had a PvP session last night. I've done PvP before, but the majority of it would be defending my teamates by double/triple teaming an invader, then backing him into a corner and using a firestorm spell haha! My new evil dex character has come of age, and I used priscilla's dagger and the lifehunt sythe. I won 3 out of 20! WHOOOO! First win was against a guy who still had the drake sword! Haha! YES!

Last night I managed to get hit by both Anor Londo archers simultaneously for the first time. I discovered that if you get shot in the chest and the back at exactly the same moment, the knockdowns cancel each other out, you freeze in place looking exactly like a shiskebob, and then bounce sideways off the wall and fall to your death. I also managed to do this with the host right there with ringside seats.

I will post another achievement in this thread or possibly make a new thread when I get a bleed with my priscilla's dagger and/or lifehunt sythe in PvP. I didn't get one in over 20 invades last night =/ Granted, like I said, I only won 3.

HAHAHAHAHAHA! This kinda thing happened to my buddy, except the second arrow somehow hit him as he was falling back. I guess it "glitched" him over the railing, and he then fell to his death haha! We were voice chatting, and I heard this all happen. Except, he wasn't a phantom.

This one time in B. Town I managed to kill a toxin tree guy without getting the toxin coursing through my veins.

Once, the Anor archer's arrows hit eachother in mid air. It was super cool.

Also, one time I won a PvP without using a parry for the first time ever. (No no, he didn't jump off a cliff or anything, I don't know why you would think that.)

i know right!? why are they so damn strong and ignore poise? on ng+ and on they can kill you with one combo.

My + of the day goes to you Befowler because you made me laugh. I'm currrently trying to get past these two monkeys on a new character and I just CAN'T! Done it twice before with no problem. Was on the point of giving up till I read your post. It's comforting to know that someone as experienced as your good self has problems too. I'm off to have another bash. Actually, I quite enjoy sky diving. You get used to it after a while.

I actually defeated my first invaders yesterday! The second one I was super proud of because he jumped me on my first ever steps into Btown, he had nutty gear I haven't scene before and charged at me spewing some poison gas crap (i think a pyro spell?), seemed like a cheap tactic designed to get me to fall off a ledge, so I let his cast animation carry him past me, landed my first PvP backstab then kicked him the **** off the ledge.

It isn't all that epic but I'm a noob and it was epic to me!

I did my first Riposte today. In PvE. Yeah.

I would laugh but I only did my first riposte two days ago. Three cheers for mediocrity!

Nothing beats a good riposte, IMO. Very satisfying. Especially when you're low on health, knowing if you miss, you're dead. Love it.

To all who have posted here I salute your not so grandiose achievements. I submit for your review my latest effort that I believe clearly catapults me into the 51st percentile of skill. I just successfully completed an invasion where the target and I managed to strike each other down at the same time. We are both winners we are both losers. I have mixed emotions.

I just invaded another world and got my butt kicked by an ornstien spear for the first time! WHOO! I actually wanted to PSN message him about how AWESOME his weapon i (because it had an AMAZING moveset) but I didn't have his name =/

Your writing style alone puts you in the 52nd percentile at least. I've laughed a lot

Joe, if your on PSN, then you can hit the 'players met' button (above your list of friends) and it will give a chronilogical list of players that you have met in games, you can use that to find the person and message them

thanks! I'm really trying to get better at parrying in PvP. I've parried about 3 times but never got the riposte. No idea why...
