    Amusing Anecdote Empty Amusing Anecdote

    Post by neon__noodle Fri Apr 27, 2012 2:00 am

So I was at the grocery store with my girlfriend this evening and we're walking around and I've got a bunch of stuff under my arms with my hands mostly free. So she stops to look at something and I start to twiddle my thumbs, literally, and she turns to me and says, "Are you practicing for Dark Souls?" I knew she was making fun of me but I couldn't help but love that she said that.

Just thought I'd share that. Amusing Anecdote 945058907

You know play way too much if your loved ones can make assumptions on what your doing...... Heck, I don't play nearly as much as some people on here, and my friends always think everything I do is focused around Dark Souls..... well its not...... or is it? lol

I was talking to a friend of mine (who is also girl) I poured some salt into my palm from the box I closed my hand and crushed the salt and sprinkled it on my food she looked at me and said "That looks like you are using humanity" I was confused for a second so I looked at our table and realised that half of the salt I poured into my palm was on the table. I laughed for a good minute after that.

Well as part of the only 3 known female members of this forum I take it as a compliment? That we are surely wonderful girlfriends?

    Then why am I single?

Rynoa.....someone special is finding their way to you now, they're just making sure they get there at the right moment. Anyone who selflessly double checks on someone else's insane ramblings to help them out and put their mind at ease just has to have something special on the way. Thanks again and here's the extra +1 I told you I owed you.

When my wife gets mad she'll sometimes bring up that I stay up late and play video games. Since she's the one who bought my Vita for me (and that's just this year) I don't think she's all too mad at me though. About that anyway

I don't. Outside the interwebz I'm still an immature 30 year old who rambles incessantly about topics very few people are interested in and operate under the assumption that the universe is expecting me to barge in on it at all times.

But point taken. Some bad eggs have an internet facade.

The only thing different about me here is that I can have a lot more confidence in here.

Even just because of the fact that if I'd have to speak english in real life/real time with you guys I would most probably struggle a lot to find the right words, and constantly be like "what must they be thinking" silly I don't have that much of experience talking to english native speakers, typing is a different thing of course.

We'd just start talking louder to you Darkson as Americans believe everyone speaks fluent English but sometimes they don't hear so well. If we talk louder you just have to understand us better

Talking slower and louder is the key to getting across the language barrier. Gotta love America.

No! Stupid Americans silly YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!

I understand English perfectly! (years of practice with MTV and Youtube and whatnot)

But I would be nervous talking to you, my mind would do backflips (?) and such thinking about how I shall express what I want to say.

But at maximum 1 week of getting used to it I believe I would talk pretty much nearly as fluent as you happy

    For shizzle.

I don't think Darkson got my point. I must not have been talking loud enough.

Actually.....I get what you're saying. We went to Puerto Rico for our honeymoon last year and was forced to talk in Spanish at a restaurant because they were one of five people on the island that didn't have some English skills and I was immediately self conscious about pronunciation and the like.

Also I give you a lot of credit. I don't know enough Spanish to join a forum that used it.

I bet English is A LOT easier than Spanish lol

    Also, English is everywhere.

And I technically even picked up some English phrases until Kindergarten.

(btw "Kindergarten" is German winking )

I feel the same way about Spanish I can read and understand spanish when it is spoken to me but I cannot speak it. I could type in spanish well (yes americans don't have to be hispanic to speak spanish)

Yo comprendo espanol como yo prefiero escribir en mi nativo languaje ingles.
