Well, I was *** around in the forest with Great Combustion. lower my HP below 20%, equip bellowing dragoncrest and the dusk crown, and see how much damage I do... Well the damage is a bit over 1,300 on invaders... and this isn't even a powerful spell.
My sincere question about this, is why don't people do this type of glass cannoning more often, I'm not even referring to PvP here! I just one-shot the 4 Kings, and Gwynn fell over after a single crystal homing soul mass... I punched an enemy (just punched) with my pyromancy hand for 450 damage, and it just seems like a deadly combination.
My best hit is 2,300 with Chaos Firestorm, the second most deadly spell was Crystal Homing Soul Mass, coming in at 2120 for a combined 5 hits. While I guess this might not be practical if your not very good at dodging, it seemed like a very deadly combo, I'm shocked it's not used more often.
I also have a Demon Spear, +4. I only have 12 strength and 15 dexterity, the bare minimum to carry it, so it's not too damaging, but it's my backup weapon to deal with people once I run out of spells, or in PvE, to deal with the enemies that aren't worth a spell cast. If I actually run out of spells, the weapon has an attack rating of 567 when I'm in this state, so despite not having the proper stats to use it, the weapon does an insane amount of damage, higher then most players have on their gear, and the spear is a very long weapon, so I can safely poke at you from a distance. 270 of the damage rating will be lightning once it's +5.
Great Combustion isn't the most potent pyromancy, I'm curious on what damage I can get with this spell type when I use Chaos Fire Whip, especially once I get around to ascending my pyromancy glove. Also, my Catalyst that I'm casting the spells from is only the Sorcerers Catalyst, so I have a lot more magic adjust I can get my hands on, and I'm wondering just how high my spells can hit.
I've had a lot of people send me nasty PM's today, accusing me of hacking, or otherwise cheating when I one shot them, sometimes through their shields. On the other hand... I have had a LOT of wonderful co-op matches with hosts, once I explain to stop healing me so I can keep my health low. Wiping out nearly any boss in less then 7 seconds is a wonderful coop advantage, and has had several people begging me to follow them to the next area, or otherwise sending me amazed messages asking wtf happened.
Thoughts?
