So a Funny Thing Happened...

I was farming Dragon Scales because I needed a few more to rank up in the Path of the Dragon and get my Dragon Torso Stone. So I'm fighting off the three drakes at the New Londo entrance, and all of a sudden I see these shards flying at me from off the screen. I think, "What the hell is attacking me?" And then I see it out of the corner of my eye - sure enough, it's a Twin Humanities.

The upside is that, hey, free humanities. Plus, I got another Slab from a Darkwraith that run, so all in all I can't complain.

Let me get this straight.

A Vagrant appeared and one of the Drakes must have blasted it? I've never seen a Vagrant so I'm only guessing from what I've read.

No, I killed the Vagrant after I took care of the drakes. I've seen them a few times now. I just thought it was amusing that I got ambushed by a Twin Humanities.

Basically, I got attacked by a Drift Item (Vagrant) that turned out to be a Twin Humanities.

So... it simply means... a vagrant attacked you, you killed it, and it dropped twin humanities...

Did I get it right now?

As I read "it's a Twin Humanities" that is attacking you, I was not sure how I should imagine "it".

Think the fairies from legend of Zelda ganging up on him out of nowhere.

When I read it I actually imagined a twin humanity sprite was hugging Sebast(a)rd from the side...

I'd always been under the impression that Vagrants were items dropped by other players but never retrieved. So in my minds eye, I'm picturing a Twin Humanities that literally sprouted legs and walked away. This particular one also sprouted claws and porcupine quills and had a nasty disposition. They remind me very much of the cell phone from Transformers.

Lucky you. I've put in hundreds of hours and never seen a Vagrant.

Btw, aren't "evil" vagrants (hostile ones with claws and projectiles) always Humanities or Tiwn Humanities? Just going on what I've read though...

keh heh heh, I hope this was my doing. I spent all day today and yesterday in new londo and I dropped all my spare black knight weapons and a few hundred dark hands hoping to hear this somewhere in the community.

I actually ran into one today too, it was up on the first area with the 2 ghosts and the firekeeper soul. It was the first one I have seen in my game, I was pretty happy, 400 hours into the game and there it is.

Nice, vagrants are cool. We should set up another vagrant event.....

I was thinking that too, I wanted to do a vagrant based covenant, but there isn't really anyway to monitor it. And there has been an uprising of about 10 covenants this week. A repeated event would probably be easier than a covenant.

Snap. I was just thinking about a 'vagrant army' user covenant....

Well get on it, go on! lol. Luck would have it we didn't post here and ended up making the same user covenant at the same time?

The problem with this covenant is you cannot tell if its working. Or if it was you who did it, but events on the other hand you could have a mass of people all in one place dropping items and searching for vagrants.

Perhaps it could work in a covenant if you dropped and invaded to check? It would be hilarious to have Vagrant farmers and Gravesworn working together in the same area.
