We need more gravelord servants.

I made a new toon, a gravelord servant.
I wasted 6 eyes of death in different zones, it kinda pisses me off... I haven't been invaded once (except by a darkwraith so it doesn't count).

Is it because the BPs are not enough a pain in the *** or because the covenant is practically unknown or everybody just don't give a *** ?

I think more people should join the covenant and infect other players world, just so the covenant would gain in popularity, I'm bored with those datkwraith and darkmoons.

Or maybe its because the MP doesnt work that well and Gravelords cant be utilized effectively......

I've only faced Gravelords maybe 2 or 3 times in hundreds of hours of gameplay, most of which I play in human form.

Or is unpopular due to having to go down into the catacombs to join and you kinda have to kill the leader to complete the game. Sounds like someone's bitter about the online.

Yup, a total immature tool I be, completely unlike yourself, making a forum account to bash to the online functions, but then again I digress. If the gravelords were broken then you'd see no gravelords whatsoever, I see gravelord signs on the floor more than I see Dragon covenant.

Your opinion on the gravelord matter is ridiculous as well, but maybe someone else will take their time to explain why your logic is flawed.

actually ON topic, it may depend on where you've put your sign, but i've never bothered invading a gravelord. i simply murder the bp and move on. i figure if they wanted pvp they'd put the sign somewhere obvious, use the rss, or join a different covenant. So ,i can't speak for others, but i don't care enough to hunt down the sign and invade. if anything its faster to blue orb in and fight them that way.

How's it flawed? If it was as you say broken. You know the definition of broken right? Nobody would be able to see the invasion signs, on all of my characters I've seen gravelord invasion signs in the parish and the burg, and some in the painted world, I think covenant location as well as function is a huge contribution to their popularity. The gravelord and the dragon covenants are in remote and/or annoying locations, also compounded to the fact that the gravelord bonfire Isn't available till you defeat Nito, leads to the fact that unless you really like running through those annoying as hell skeletons, not wanting to join them.

Broken DOES NOT MEAN that it wont work at all. It means it doesnt work effectively and will rarely come to anything.

When Gow2 came out it could take 10-20 minutes to get into a match, and then that match would be littered with lag and hackers.

Same with Dark Souls. It can take FOREVER to invade or summon etc. And then it lags, hackers etc.

Your logic is flawed because your have an EXTREME view on the matter.

Extreme? I know the online is laggy, hacks I've never encountered, but blaming every unpopular covenant on namco's cheapness is also illogical, unless you have a fetish for making other players games harder you won't join the gravelords.

Also there are no real significant rewards for being in Nito's covenant. I pretty much started pvp hoping to be a GRavelord (and wishing all the intital rumours about lich form were true, sigh alas they were not) as Nito is my favourite Lord. I mean a dead guy made of other dead guys is pretty much one of the mostbad*** things I have come across in gaming.

However after joining him and getting the miracles what incentive do I have to stick with it.

Plus there is no Gravelord Servant Armour so I could never get the full feeling of being a Gravelord.

Your then assuming that I'm associating the gravelord with the other "unpopular" covenant, which I never did.

Yeah i know he is hating on all MP, but sadly the gravelords are broken.. Rest of the game is not.

i think its because there isnt any real incentive to beign in the covenant besides the sword and two miracles, which is the only reason people join it and never stick with it. and they only infect 3 people at a time if you could infect 10 people at once itd be better, maybe even 20. i think they shouldve made it that all covenants except the goo covenants for obviuos reasons.

No hackers on PS3 version, hackers on Xbox 360 version it's fault of Microsoft, not From Software.

Also I must had lag in like 3 matches. After that everything was ok, and I'm in South America, so playing with Japan players should get laggy but no, it doesn't.

Like I answered to you in the other thread, I can summon and invade at anytime so, you're the problem not the game. And I have NAT 3, and a **** router, so.....


On Topic: Yeah the Gravelord covenant has 2 negatives:

Too few people are gravelords.

And it seems that infections not always work as intended. But I have to admit that since patch 1.05 I been successfully infected 6 times (including BPs).

I have made a couple Gravelords and unless I'm doing something like SL120 Kiln no one invades me (except Darkwraiths, which I agree doesn't count).

Indeed there are issues, but I've seen tons of videos online about them so perhaps I'm doing something wrong...

i've seen a rash of them recently, bps in dark root(butterfly and sif areas) and the kiln, the bps are a pain in the butt as most can one shot you and there are lots of them in those locations, butterfly gets 6 SIX bp stone guardians who can one shot you and twop you. and bp blk knights are annoying as hell too.

It seems broken or if not then it's incredibly unpopular due to the leader being a story boss :|

Either way from 300 hours I have seen Black phantoms once. and only seen the disasters have gone about 3 times. Compared to amount of invasions I've had and people I've helped... Seems a bit off to me.
