Rant what do you think of the Painted World? You know the large arena with the staircase. I don't know if that's a good idea though, the host could get invaded constantly. But that arena is super big!

Wyrm that's the big issue, it is almost as populated as the Kiln, burg is the same way. That's why I'm hoping to get my GL up in levels soon, we could maybe have FC one night at a crazy spot, like the bridge before the Ceaseless Discharge.

i personally love it but there's a lot of traffic there, we might never get to fight each other, i wanna do the depths for the next event, giant rat room. btw, i wanted to say it was awesome that almost noone used buffs last night, it made fights more fun and they lasted longer.

Yeah, buffs are becoming rarer and rarer. It's nice. One wrong move againsst a buffed weapon can spell rapid death.

Re: Fight Club SL120 PSN
What about the area where the Large Fire Ember is? I don't think those giant worms respawn, do they? It's a bit of a jog from the bonfire... But an upside is it's an area with an optional boss.
Edit: About no-buffing: lengthening the fights is good. But when the weapons are weaker, the risk/ reward for parrying gets unbalanced. I don't know about you, but if we're not buffing, I'm going to pull out a dagger or rapier and just parry all night!

Re: Fight Club SL120 PSN
That's not a bad area, in fact that are by the bonfire isn't such a bad idea either. Maybe even the spot before the Firesage, or even before the shortcut to Izalith. I believe I can get there without defeating the firesage right?

Re: Fight Club SL120 PSN
we're not talking aobut banning it, just that it's nice not buffing every once in a while and for some reason it makes it more fun but youre right, there's weapons that wouldnt be as viable in pvp without buffs.

the shortcut to izalith would be pretty cool, and i think most people leave firesage alone.

Re: Fight Club SL120 PSN
Oh, I'm not worried about banning. Just voicing my opinion!
There's a couple good spots we could look at in the Demon Ruins. And the people who have beaten Firesage could even rest at that bonfire, so they'd be closer to the area to put their sign.

Re: Fight Club SL120 PSN
I realise the rules are non-negotiable but i'm going to say it anyways.
I still feel you guys are limiting yourselves by banning back stabbing.
Especially the large weapon users who would benefit the most from learning to stop it.
Several of you have said you rarely pvp outside FC because you just get back stabbed to death.
If all of your pvp is in a back stab free environment this won't change. The only way to beat the mechanic you hate so much and enjoy pvp outside FC without being back stabbed to death is to practice and what better time than when 15-20 friendly duelists are gathered to learn and have fun?
Again not trying to change the rules, just saying I find it sad that some bad experiences have convinced you to let the mechanic ruin the game and your fun instead of driving you to overcome it.

i dont mind i guess without buff my claws are the weakest weapons so if i dont mind...
and if you can parry makes the gameplay different but still good

none of us have said we suck at countering backstabs that i know of, it's just the fighting someone that's only fishing for a bs or just not attacking until you make a mistake and bs or just turtling is not fun, there's counters to everything but fighting the same buidls and sam tactics over and over again is so boring.
