How do you deal with the bkga

its raped my face a bunch now, if it touches my dex build i'm screwed (shield or not) and it swings to freaking fast for stagger him with my scythe, hes in havels too so to even if i get the second hit (the one that staggers this guy) he survives the combo and i take the axe to the face.

Parry, or cry

lol, it's easy to roll and they usually just can do 3 attacks then there is a window in there for you to attack, the difficult part is when there is more than one guy. If not try chaos fireballs at first or something of sorts to soften him up and then try the window.

BKGA is literally the easiest weapon to parry in the game. Its made even easier by the way most people mash R1 until you die with it. Its honestly a joke, I embarrass these kids all day long who use this weapon.

is a straight parry possible? i can set up parry but i'm still working on the timing. didn't know it could be parried though.... have to see if i can manage that. @last time there were 2 the phantom had a mlgs and butterfly horn.....i lasted about 4 seconds.

Well, you need to time with the lag, I normally parry before them swing, with a normal shield (crest shield). Sometimes work, sometimes don't

helpful guy. i didn't know large weapons could be parried. used a blessed gaxe in demons so it was never an issue, thats what i get for making assumptions, now i look stupid on the internet

Easiest way to parry it is to take the first hit, then parry right as the first swing ends. Its possible with about 70ish poise. You cannot block the first hit, it will mess up the timing.

When I've seen it I use hit and run tactics with my moonlight butterfly horn, just keep rolling when they try to hit me, then harass/damage them as they recover, but this would be harder without the reach...

parrying is the best you can do against it, does anhone know if you can parry the large and great club ground slam? cause people have tried to parry me when i do it and never pull it off.

You can parry anything but a jumping attack to my knowledge, you can parry some of the mobs jump attacks, but I don't think you can parry a players.

harassing with force has been working ok. still only get 1 hit in though. and its a faith/dex hybrid, trying to tank a hit from that monster would be like trying to tank a small asteroid. if i had mlb then it would be worth the trade cus the repost from my great scythe would be 0HKO but freaking farmers and their bkga are making getting it difficult. done better with the parrying tip and some dead angles though so thanks. i'll have to try spear harassment too.

Recently got invaded in Lost Izalith by a BKGA user. He was very polite (bowed and stuff), but I could not manage to hurt him. He would shake it up between BKGA and combustions, two things I have never managed to survive in combat with another player

Fully levelled up Demon Spear works great for this and its what I use on my 0 poise dex/faith build. Keep jabbing the **** out of them and rolling around. The range is so good, they can't never get near you. Once their health is down they just get wog'd.

To parry bkga, watch the attack pattern. If you notice constant r1 spam then block the first hit and parry the second. The second swing is usually much easier to parry. If you miss you are dead though.

Pirate, I just made a BKGA build for FC. You can practice parrying me, next time we meet up. Parrying and roll BS are the best ways to fight this weapon.

It is a fun weapon to play with, and can be beat easily, once you get the timing down. Plus, I don't mindlessly spam R1.

i haven't parried it yet but it hasn't been as much as an issue since i started keeping wog on me. still need the practice though.

Also this threads a month old, during which time i've played dks almost exclusively.

Thanks Man. I have a BKGA down in B-town too and can help spar as well. That was the build I made quick the first night I came down there just so I could join in the festivities. Most of my builds are SL 125 so I have made some new ones for FC.

I fought a BKGA last night. I failed at parrying (still need a lot of practice). I kept at it until I was one hit from losing. Then, I did some well-timed roll R1 and roll BS under his 1H swing. I won. Point is to keep your distance, not get stunlocked, roll through or under their 1H swing and hit them.

Dodge, duck, dip, dive, and... dodge.

You are kidding me right? You parried me in one try like no one I have ever encountered and that weapon is the one I have parried most by far in pvp, unless it was being double wielded was it?

Well once someone swings it, it sticks in my body until I'm dead. I like to think this prevents the other player being able to use it again

Roll BS.

BS the guy, or poke with the pointy end of spear until dead.

Watch for patterns, and take advantage of them. If you get stunlocked, shifting to your alt weapon slot on the D-pad will enable you to escape i think.

But this only works, if you're able to take the hits though :/
