Yes, staying away from Dark Souls until the next game is out. I find too many annoying and immature players online.

@Derp - I'm the same as you bro. I left DkS a few months ago. Got sick of the BS. Now it's Sacred 2 since I got bored with DeS.

Re: No More Dark Souls
I feel the same way as op. After the mega mule pvp has become a chore of grinding through one dark bead or WoG spammer after another. I've gone.back to des since its free with PS+ there is a lot of action. Last night I finaly got the monks head wrapping. I have never been summond in world 3 since the game came out. To top it off the host died on the way to the boss gate.

Re: No More Dark Souls
Maybe I'm just old but I have no problem playing a game and not participating in the community.
A crappy on line community hardly makes me want to drop a game I enjoy.
This wiki is actually the only on line gaming community I belong to. Even with all of it's faults, I find it to be much better than most. But who knows, maybe I'm talking out my ***. I don't get super involved so maybe I just haven't seen the dark underbelly as much as others.
Good luck and have fun! Cya when dks2 dropps.

Same here, I haven't played in at least a month now. However I might pick it back up on the PC later this year, depending on if my computer can handle it.

Re: No More Dark Souls
So am I the only one who's tolerant of these people? Like, I could care less about what they do.
I just play the game and enjoy. If I die, it sucks, but remember; get up more times than you get knocked down.
I'm probably going to be playing this game until DSII is released.

Re: No More Dark Souls
"Prepare to die"
I don't go in looking to win every battle, especially with the set ups I use, I just go in for fun. However PVP and PVE just haven't been able to hold my interest as much as it they used to, to be honest I'm looking forward to being beaten up and having my lunch money stolen in DkS II by the mages, gankers, hackers (they'll be there eventually), and every other invader in the game.
I don't think it would be a very smart idea to leave because of the community, the community will be there in the next game using similar tactics that we're seeing now.
However, looking at the thread title and OP I can't say that's the case with everyone.

Re: No More Dark Souls
Honestly, I just don't encounter enough of these people for them to be an issue for me. All I see are garden variety low-level griefers (not hacked). And I have to say, waiting around in the Parish with a level 185 mage for these cats can be a ton of fun.

Re: No More Dark Souls
That's strange. I don't find that many immature and annoying players when I'm doing coop or invading. But, I've learned to ignore certain behaviors in the Forest. So, there may be more than I remember because IDGAS when they act like pimple-faced 13-year olds. Focus on the good, forget the bad.

Re: No More Dark Souls
If I had the means to play the game online, I probably wouldn't do it regularly anyway. The game is all about the PvE to me, and that aspect likely won't grow old to me for a very, very long time.

Re: No More Dark Souls
Wow, that's a rare and refreshing thing to see on the forum. +1 to you. I focused on nothing but PvE for the longest time. Eventually I decided to put my sign down and I've loved co-op ever since. I now enjoy PvP a little, but not the way most people do--meaning I don't camp--it feels more like true Dark Souls to just play through the game human and get my PvP that way.
