Yeah I was getting some of that with Cho the other day, who incidentally I think I'm about to buy. I tried him solo top, and I probably missed 75% of my Q's. The timing just takes some getting used to.

There are a bunch of really amazing champs at the 1350 IP level. I went to the store to buy Cho, and having looked around I'm a bit torn now. I've seen both Veigar and Fiddlesticks absolutely dominate matches essentially by themselves. Twisted Fate too, but maybe not by himself. I've also been interested in Sion, Tyrn, and Jax for awhile. This is a tough choice.

Oh wow. There's been another new champ addition since I last was playing too. Didn't even notice Lucian before.

Lucian is old news, Jinx is the new Lucian since she's statistically better and newer.

And Twisted Fate should never carry, the enemy team is braindead if they can't beat Twisted Fate

He's supposed to use Destiny to gank other lanes and find weak enemies that just escaped past their towers to get an easy kill. He's terribly team reliant with his ult, even though he is hands down the coolest champion in the game.

I think if I had to pick a best champion based on coolness I'd have to go with Hecarim. He's a bad mother shut yo mouth. Especially if you include his lore, and not just the way he looks.

Or maybe Fiddlesticks. He's right up there too.

I didn't deny his capabilities to carry, anyone who's great with a champion can carry, whether it's actually carrying a team, or carrying a carry with a support, I said he has low carrying capabilities when you compare him to several of the champions generally used for carrying(Master Yi, Fizz, pretty much anyone who can snowball)

Twisted Fate shouldn't be carrying a team, because a team should know how to counter him, his last W nerf makes it harder for him to go in with his ult, because he used to be able to ready his E, pick Gold Card and teleport in, which he can't do anymore because of the shorter time constraint on his W, so if you see cards appear around you all you have to do is walk in the opposite direction, so it's harder to get fed as him, he's also pretty squishy so it's not hard for an assassin to focus him in a teamfight, especially seeing as he has 0 escapes, just his W's slow/stun

But what can I say, I haven't bothered with ranked yet so anything I say is invalid regardless of how well thought out it is :l

Garen can be a fun champ, and he's pretty cheap so you could grab him early. He also doesn't use mana, so it's less to have to deal with while you're learning other stuff. I actually just fired him up the other night for the first time in a really long time and had a lot of fun. Malphite is one of my favorite champs too. Both are pretty tanky. There's all kinds of options though.

Garen is probably the best to start learning with, he's not hard to learn at all

Yea I have garen and its a lot of fun to play as him. I'm still getting my mind wraped around all the terms and lol specific stuff like runes. I want the darkforge garen. It looks so cool. Is lore for the alts? Like how they got corrupted or found the source of power?

With very few exceptions, almost every single skin is considered non-canon.

EDIT: Though they do commonly represent "what-if" scenarios. So to say Darkforge Garen is an expression of "corrupted Garen" is still accurate. It's just not officially part of the lore.

Something really important for Garen that I didn't pick up at all the entire time I was using him when I was first playing, is that his ultimate does more damage the lower your targets health is. It's basically an assassination ability. Get them to maybe a quarter health with your other stuff, then blast em with it while they're trying to run away. His Q will give you a burst of speed too, so you can do things like cast his W, to protect yourself, then cast his Q to get a burst of speed, and chase fleeing low health champs into their defenses and kill them with a quick R. Don't feel pressured to understand everything right away either though. It's a lot to take in, and like Dark Souls, it's a game that's a continuous learning process. I started playing maybe 8 months ago, and I'm still kind of a noob at level 20. It all just takes time. Just have fun.

Part of me feels bad that I got 13 kills as a Zac jungle with no offensive items, I have no clue how I got the kills, I was trying to avoid getting kills

But then I got 22 assists and don't feel as bad
