There's some sets of lighter armor that can only be found later in the game (like the black cleric set) and I was wondering if anyone found them particularly useful at higher levels?

Any high-level players use light armor?

Black cleric robe isn't really that good to be honest, but it looks cool, so it makes up for everything else it lacks.

not very useful but maybe for a few times, it is mostly just to change to look of your character

I figure if you are good it doesn't matter what you wear. i wear light armour almost all the time. Am I good? Not really, but I'm not bad either. Does it give me a disadvantage? You'd better believe it does.
I just do it for the badassness that kicking a Havels/Giants user in my rags give me when I do win. Plus I can use it with DWGR with a clear conscience.

From time to time when I invade as a hunter I'll go with the Wanderer, Painting Guardian, or Shadow Set. Sure if I get hit once I'm probably dead, but when it comes to farmers you don't want to get hit once anyway haha.

xanthous is pretty good, maiden, dingy, painting guardian and others i cant remember, theyre all useful, specialy in pve, theyre good in pvp if you know how to dodge and the res helps alot if youre up against a magic user.

I'm currently rockin' Painted Guardian set, but with chain-mail body, simply cause it looks bad ***.
I generally mix and match, try to find something different that looks good. There's so many combinations to try out, it's cool when you find something new.
If you just go by the number's you'll end up looking like everyone else in havel/Giant combo's wearing a wood grain ring.

I've used the black sorcerer set before. It's absurdly light, and the elemental/magic resistance is really good. It also looks cool. IMO, it's one of the only armors that looks good with the family masks.

I like the dingy set, but I mix it w/ a black knight chest to give me some poise.
