Still this question? I've been gone for a week. Is it Chrono Cross? There are some cat references there

Yeah, not a lot of guesses. No and no. Like I said in my post, it's much more tricky than you think. I can't really give any hints, but one more guess and I'll give out the answer.

Illusion of Gaia? Were there cats in that game? I think so.....it's been a while.

This question is slightly misleading by the way, so an apology if it's a bad choice for a question.
Edit: There also seems to be a lot of cats "mentioned" in the game.
Edit2: Everytime you start the game you're told about a cat.
The answer is actually Age of Mythology. As I said, this question was very tricky, but I'll explain it to you:
One of the soundtracks is called "Eat Your Potatoes", another is called Chocolate Outline. There's one soundtrack called "Flavor Cats", and you often hear it. The main theme, that you always hear when starting the game, is called "A Cat Named Mittens". Once again, I do apologise for the difficulty, but man am I happy to have actually made a post in here.

I tried giving you hints when I said "hear", but yeah, I realised it was hard. Still, it is as I say, I'm a d*ck.

Re: Video Game Trivia
That is pretty harsh. I'm not sure I've ever known the name of a song in a video game. Like ever in the 25 years that I've been a gamer.

Re: Video Game Trivia
I love video game music! I have a HUGE playlist of it on my Ipod from a variety of game series. If I had ever heard of the game, I probably would have known that question.

Re: Video Game Trivia
I appreciate a soundtrack that's made well to fit the tone and action of the game, but I've never just listened to gaming music. I like it for what it is, but if I want to listen to music there's an infinite list of things I'd pop in first.
Whose turn is it?
I'm not judging. I come here to socialize with you guys every day. It's just not something I have any interest in at all.

Re: Video Game Trivia
Not to backtrack too far, but I just read through the whole thread trying to answer the questions, and this blew my mind.
I just started this game for the first time a couple weeks ago, and in fact it was likely the day this question was posted! Can you believe that? Weird coincidence. I haven’t played it much, but this cool plot twist really makes me want to continue.

How is it for a first time player with no nostalgia factor?

Re: Video Game Trivia
It struck me as quite a fun game. Some parts take some getting used to for someone who hasn't played any Genesis games in a decade. All your actions (talk, equip, search, etc) are in a complicated series of menus. And I don't think I have the hang of the combat. That part doesn't seem complicated, but I keep dying.
Edit: There is some nostalgia factor for me because Genesis was my first console, but I never played anything quite like it when I was young.

Re: Video Game Trivia
Is it action or console style? I'm right at the end of a Shining Force II play right now. I was thinking maybe Phantasy Star IV after, but I'd consider giving Sword of Vermilion a shot instead.

Re: Video Game Trivia
I'm not sure what console style means, but the combat is real time action instead of turn-based. When walking around a town or something it's the usual overhead 2D view, and when outside or in dungeons it switches to 3D maze-like exploration. I may not have a lot of experience with retro games, but it seems pretty unique.

Re: Video Game Trivia
Yeah console = turn based pretty much. Sounds a bit like Shining in the Darkness but with action combat. I'll give it a shot.
If nobodies going to take the turn I will. I'll think of something to ask.
Alright, here it is: Whose this guy?
As in what's his name, and what purpose does he serve/what game is he in?
Man you guys are lucky. I just thought of one that's a lot harder. I'll stick with the one I already asked though.

Re: Video Game Trivia
That's close enough. He's pretty much the face of Skate or Die. He does a few different things in the different games. Sells you stuff, acts as the high score/records menu, etc. His name is Rodney Recloose.

To this day that game still beats all that Tony Hawk nonsense. Time to think!
Also, I honestly knew the game already, but it's on the picture

Got one.....might be easy but whatevs.
There's more than one answer (two that I know of in the USA, if you can prove another I'll accept it):
Which SNES game(s) featured a red cartridge?
