Why doesnt this one have more votes? I can feel the dark souls aura coming from it.

It is a visual trick. On the upper left corner are warm colours, and in the lower right corner are cold colours. This is called a cold-warm contrast, which makes a perfect harmony in our eyes. +The badass lion face painting makes it look very nice.

I agree. I like the rose one best too!

I have to say, I have no expectations of winning anything from my designs. I made these for myself, but I like that we have such a nice group of members participating in the event and that everyone is supporting other participants. That is one of the aspects that I like so much from these forums.

Wow, Rollo, that looks like a lot of work, I really like (read: voted for) it happy

One comment, though: I think it is a bit to "warm" regarding the coloring used for Velka. Have you tried a more "blueish"/darker version? Just curious...

@glassghost, thx for your vote i actually was gonna gonna go over the dark tan base color with a purple or blue but never got around to it. Wanted to get it submitted as soon as possible, otherwise i'd add texture highlights to the surface too (a painted metal type look like grass crest sheild) I decided to stick with my original inspiration valkas mask since i liked how the gold and dark brown looked on that. I'd expect the sheild to look near black in low light if it were in game.
