Guys, as i said before, i dont have facebook and i dont plan on creating it, so theres any way i can see the awesome shields?

Most of them are embedded somewhere in this thread. A lot of us have been using our designs as avatars too. That might be the fastest way (even though the thread is 32 pages already) because the alternative is to either wait for one of us to compile the embedded pics into one location (kudos to CaptainSunbro for the links as even that's a major task) or for each of us to individually embed our designs.

I'd of course encourage you to make an account, even if it's a dummy one, just so you'd have the option of voting too. It would also allow you to see designs that aren't from forum members and there are some amazing designs that aren't ours honestly. I know of at least one forum member who has done that.

Other than finding places where people have posted their pics (such as in this thread), not really. But it takes a moment or two to sign up for facebook as long as you have a working e-mail. Then you can look at the gallery and vote etc.

Dark Souls: We do our best when moderating (with more than 300 per day) but if you think it's done by a bunch of people doing this fulltime, you are mistaken. Also, this isn't easy as hitting a magical button. Give us a few days to delete designs that don't comply with the rules.

Post from the Dark Souls page - looks like it might take a few days before they delete some of the more obviously rule-breaking designs, but better late than never, right?

Wow, I missed a load of decent shields here, I wish I had made an account sooner, sadly im a little skittish when it comes to forums. After submitting my own i've spent so much time looking for more awesomer entries, sadly its so hard as there are so many now. Expect an extra vote from me, here and there.

Well, my shields are just not getting approved. So I am calling it quits. Here is what I came up with. I hope you like. If they ever get approved I will put links. Only 2 have been approved. I was just going to upload the round shields to my wife's account. It feels good to get these out of my system.

Voted for no2, but they're all great! I hope some more (if only all) will be accepted soon, I could see myself using one of those whilst I die ^^

Well, here's the design my son and I came up with. "Tower of the Forgotten." I just thought a tower shield made out of a tower was a neat idea. I think ramparts across the top would look cool, but I didn't know if I could leave any part of it blank.

@Baal - Dang, those are really good! I wonder what their criteria for acceptance is? It seems so random, as your really good-looking designs aren't making the cut, and others that are...not so good are.

Also, what's up with people not from America entering the American contest (and vice-versa)? Doesn't seem right.

You can choose any template to design for, no matter your region, as long as you label it correctly when you submit it. You can even do one of each as you can enter up to three submissions. I didn't realise that when I was designing my shield, but I had always planned on making a round one, anyway.

Thanks everyone. I am happy with my third shield also. I was very uninspired with the tower shields. Once I realized we did not have to stick to our region then I started having more fun making them. I think I will go through the rest of this thread and vote on the ones that I have not yet. So everyone expect some votes.

The 'Tower of the forgotten' Tower Shield is a great idea, I can definitely envisage it being purely built from a wall of brick and mortar. Though that'd be insanely heavy, it feels almost personal and makes me wonder how/why it was crafted into a useable shield. Very nice concept, especially like how you and your son worked together on it, you've done a great job ^^

Oh, and Tanklord, I belive that is an image of the Archstone of the Giants, from Demon's Souls, copy and pasted to fit the template. Though you were probably being sarcastic and knew, I dont catch on well, forgive me. I just hate seeing those plagiarised entries.

Oh I didn't know:( I still haven't played Demon's Souls so I didn't have a clue that the image was plagiarised, oh well I still think it looks good.

There was a list compiled on the Dark Souls Facebook page that identified all the entries the community believe to be plagiarised, The Chieftan Shield was one of them. I agree with you, the design looks awesome, personally all of the Archstone art made by From look incredible, though I hate having to spoil things like that for you =[

A lot of the plagiarized shields were cool looking. I wonder if the 867 Kalameet shields will stick.
