Why won't they just release a game for ps3? After supporting them for years capcom pulls all this crap? Not cool, needless to say I will never buy a game from them again.

The reason Capcom won't release any more Monster Hunter games for a Sony systems is because Sony refused to update adhoc party on their PS3 and also tried to force them to put Trophies in their games when they were already working on the next game. These are the two most well known reasons, but it's been said that there any even more reasons why the MH team is upset with Sony and that those two are just the ones that broke the camel's back.

I'm not a Capcom supporter in the least, but if anyone is to blame it's Sony. And as for Sony "supporting" them, the only reason the PSP wasn't a massive failure was because it was carried by the MH series for so long.

Onto Monster Hunter Online itself, made by Tencent and Crytek? No thanks. I'd rather avoid Chinese pay2win crap in my Monster Hunter games.

@dub while I do think that adhoc could use an update I don't think it needs it, the whole trophy thing though, didn't they try that with every publisher(dev)? I just don't think that's enough to just move away from the psp or the ps3 after years of support from their fans, kinda like a big FU to their fans is imo what I feel they did. they do kinda suck anyway, specially with their fighting games, I have not bought a game from them since unite on psp, im just really disappointed.

I can understand the disappointment, I'm just trying to let you know that the Monster Hunter team isn't the only thing to blame in this. I don't think they meant to give an FU to their fans, they just didn't want to work with Sony anymore. If I'm not mistaken, Nintendo has actually helped a lot with MH, and their Publishing and Localization support is the only reason Tri and 3U are outside of Japan in the first place.

All this being said, I agree the whole Monster Hunter Online deal is a big dumb mistake by Capcom. Shouldn't put one of your prized IPs into the hands of a company that pushes out F2P MMOs like they're going out of style.

I really wish it would come back to my dear sony console, so, so much.

However I'd still shell out my money for this, if it's a proper bought game- it would be awesome.

It's going to be an MMO, so it's either gonna be F2P or subscription.

EDIT: Also, if you guys want a PS3 Monster Hunter so bad why don't you just import Portable 3rd HD?
