by bloodpixel Sat Feb 25, 2012 12:54 amI know that attacking after your enemy's blow is deflected is counter, but is there anything else? According to the wiki it says attacking when the enemy is attacking but I tested it out and no counter damage.

There is a small window of opportunity during an opponent's attack animation (typically just a split second after they would hit you with said attack) that if they are hit they will take extra damage. You can tell you successfully triggered this by your attack having a bluish spark effect happen when it hits.

It's called a parry when you deflect the attack with L2/LT, then you press R1/RB to riposte. That's what does damage. Even more damage than a backstab.

Should probably add, the window is usually incredibly small (and unreliable in PvP due to lag), I would guess no more than about a fifth of a second after the attack animation of the enemy's attack. This makes it an impractical mechanic for anything besides spear/rapier combos who attack from behind shields.

its hard to parry atlest for me..but i co-op whit a person once that parry all enemys atacks in the whole zone he was well lets say kick *** on it i guess it was alot practice behid that...
