How to do jumping attacks?

hello folks,

in this video (and surely in lots of others as well) one can see very nice jumping attacks!

My question is: How can this kind of an attack be achieved?

I already have done such a jumping attack every now and then but this was always by accident.
I always was delighted when this attack happend but when I tried to repeat this I failed!
Is there a tutorial for this to learn?

Forward and strong attack, same as the kick except with strong attack instead of light attack. Can be finicky to get the timing right.

it is mostly performed by hitting the heavy attack simultaneously with the forward button. If i remember correctly, you are on PC, if you don't use a controller this might be difficult to do, i had my probs starting off without.
Some weapons have a jumping attack for their heavy attack i.e. the BKGA.

My game is on PC, however I use an xbox controller.

all wepons exept bows and crosbows has a jump attack
