SL100 Final Edition

This is what I want to be my best/favorite build ever A few things cross my mind, in terms of leveling.
Here's the plan with the current loadout:
-Switch Talisman for Flame to cast Pyros.
-Switch Thief Mask for MoM when going ultra-serious.
-Switch to GCS when in need of Stamina Regen.
-Switch to CS against Dark Magic. >,>

So, I'm thinking that it may be worth it to raise Str to 12. It will allow me access to the Balder Shield, and the Sunlight Straight Sword. This would also probably mean needing more End, however. I also have no experience with the Sunlight Straight Sword, but I know that it has the ever-famous thrusting attack. The Balder Shield would only be a couple stability higher, and I'm pretty sure it would also parry slower?(which is one of the big focuses of the build, to parry)
Is it worth using any other magic than what I have listed and Black Flame? I probably won't actually use PW too much, more likely BF. But things like force, great fireball, tempest. Are they worth buying even? I've had my fair share of time using pyros, and from what I can make, these are the most useful to the build(It'll get around those pokers).

Any other tips?

Balder shield has the same parry speed. Really can't say anuthing about the build since I hate vit builds.

My problem in PvP always seems to be that I die in one lagstab, or I get hit 2-3 times and have 2HP left. I've spent my DkS career working on DAMAGE OUTPUT. Now I realize, I can have non-crappy defenses while also having huge damage on the Rapier's crits. Crits(especially parries) are my favorite tactic in DkS. I have so many assassins o.o But I figure, with stronk enough armor, and stronk enough vitality, I will be able to outlast my opponents when GL'ing, arena'ing, invading. This build is probably most my style, and I think, like your new build, should last me to DkS2.

The waistcloth is actually quite flattering on girl characters

But yeah, that would be good, I just prefer to have access to thief's/MoM though

OMG I almost choked on my pretzel when reading this, I hate how they look too but it's effective.

They do look nice on my dex/pyromancer, because she's actually attractive in them. But no, this build is a dude. Is there a way I can not have to purge too many points into end, while still having at least the 31 poise breakpoint and 1.2 weight left for the head?

The waistcloth is OP in terms of poise. Only reason not to use it is for looks. Most of my girls use it and looks cool. If a guy, he needs raggedy clothes/armor as well to match the looks.

Lol yeah my builds tend to end up using it if it's a chick.

The idea with this guy is he's supposed to look like a normal guy, but he's like a total badass
But yeah, if anyone can find a way to not have to use it, but still meet those requirements, it would be appreciated. I've been looking into it, myself.

Gough armor? IDK haven't seen the combination in game, should look cool for a guy. GLGS Dance is too weak for 12 Faith and PW only gets you killed in duels. Swap the rapier.

That's why you switch to rtsr and make an awesome comeback, I love doing that, switcjing to rtsr then ohko'ing my opponent, feels pretty good.

Uhh.. GLGS doesn't scale with Faith, it scales with Gravelord Covenant rank as far as I'm aware. And what happened to the rapier?

Menu swap rapier, or just put it on the bow slot if you don't like using bows. Fire Tempest does more damage than GLGS Dance GL+3 50 Faith, imagine how crap this miracle is.

Doesn't it have faster startup time? People always see Fire Tempest a mile away.

And yeah, I was planning on swapping out for pyro/talisman/bow. I was also considering swapping shield for another weapon at times. All depends on the matchup, I guess. So you think I should go to 12 str for the Sunlight Sword, but not bother with the extra weight of the Balder Shield?

Edit: I'm reading that there are certain small advantages to GLGSD, although it may not outweigh the lost damage. This will be my first time really Gravelording, and I'd like it to be legit(in my sense of the word). I've had my good share of pyromancies, and would really only like to use GC/BF as backup spells for turtlers. I have much experience with tempest already, and would like something new. My view of it is: If I can get one hit off with the GLGSD, I should be able to finish them off with one crit without any problem.
GLGSD + BS/Riposte = a dead pony.

If you want the Balder Shield why not??? HP after 50 is not as useful as extra weight imo. However Balder Shield have crappy defenses though, it's your call.

Edit: They have approx. same start up at base Dex, BUT GLGS Dance speed doesn't increases with high Dex. Another -1 for the badass miracle.

So does GCS, although it would allow for that extra stamina boost.

Best choice is probably Tower Kite, as it has the high stability and GCS' weight. Or maybe Heater Shield would be best, since it also has faster parrying animation, along with 100% physical and decent stability.

GCS has 42 magic defense though, pretty good for a metal shield...that Heater and SK Shield is the most I use.

Yeah I use SK for Strength/Quality, Heater for low level. Why not tower kite though?

GCS is my 3 weight shield most of the time. Tower Kite seems like a good shield, but Heater wins at lower weight for bit less stability (-4), equipload being the most important thing nowadays.
