Depends on the ganking. Get some poise, TWoP or Stone Greatsword. GC/BF, WoG. Be able to move fast. Unlock often to see if you are being surrounded. Find a phantom sign. Things like that.

Go spend a couple weeks in the forest. Boom! Problem solved. You just became either: a) insane and refuse to play this game ever again, or b) an expert at fighting gankers.

Backstab the living hell out of them. Also, don't go for host, just the phantom. It may seem like the right idea to go for host but it isn't.

Be a phantom. Get summoned in as a GAnker. As the host plays meat bait, you go for the blue phantom. Watch how he either gets kilt or dodges away dealing damage.

Practice and memorization of the area around you. I believe it was Tolvo that said to use every rock and every tree to your own advantage in the forest.
If you want to do that you can go for it, but you can also find a specific area to use to your fighting advantage and bait the host and phantoms into following you there. That still takes practice but once you've got that down I'm sure you will win more against them.

Either will work, since the ganking goes both ways. But, as a host, you have to wait for the second blue to spawn. No, go for the host. If you go for the phantom the host will heal it while you are fighting, and a host with 20 flasks +7 means you will never kill the phantom.Samurainova wrote:Backstab the living hell out of them.
