My favorite co-op hosts

1. Hosts who have a clear path to the boss fog but decide to turn around and sprint towards an invader, only to get one-shotted by sorcery/pyro.
2. Hosts who have a clear path to the boss fog but decide to turn around and pick up the item the invader just dropped, allowing themselves to get one-shotted by sorcery/pyro.
3. Hosts who have a clear path to the boss fog but decide to turn around and follow the retreating invader throughout the area, only to get cut down by PvE.
4. Hosts who hide in a corner of the boss room and don't heal their phantoms.

5. Hosts who are on NG+42, and summon me so I can get one-shotted by a Dredgling.

6. Hosts that beg for items, claiming they have nothing good, and when they don't, I get a hate message demanding a challange, threatening to 'own' me with their Balder Side Sword +15 and fully reinforced EK armour.

Hosts that run off blindly into Tomb of the Giants without a light source and get me and them killed.*


*I will give this guy credit though for immediately running back after accidentally getting me killed by a skelly dog, summoning me again, and giving a hurrah when I arrived. Basically I was helping a Siegmeyer.

Hosts who get owned by the smallest mook

7. Hosts who banish me right before the boss is defeated/right before the boss.

gaaaaahh i hate that, ive gotten trolled like that before when im coop'ing in the depths with my +5 weapon(to make it fair for the host)

lol that reminds me when I was invading in Anor Londo a few days ago. I spawn in front of O&S's fog, the giant sentinels aren't there, so I look behind me: the host and two phantoms are standing right in front of the gate, ready to go through. I stand there looking at them, and they decide to turn around and go after me--bad decision!

None of them made it.

I love hosts who don't go through the fog when they can!

Sounds like way too many hosts I try to help. For some reason hosts don't realize that when I, the summon, engage the invader it's because I'm trying to save his stupid butt until he decides to walk through the fog. NOT because I'm trying to gank the invader.

Is this a sarcastic thread? Talking bad bout 'cher hosts.. Tsk tsk.

My favorite hosts are

The ones who make the decision to go through the fog gate when an invader spawns just as we almost get there, even if I'm fending off the invader and enemies.
&
The ones who take a minute to bow before we head out.
&
The ones who parry enemies.

8- The naked host.

Its either, "Hey look at me aint I funny"

or

"I'm doin a challenge run. Bow to my awesomeness"

FYI..If you summon people...it aint really a challenge run.

The Host that summons and refuses to use their estus flask, sending hate mail for my not wanting to waist any humanity to heal myself...

I'll use Humanity if I know the host wont be able to use their estus... but seriouslly... I'm going one on one with a giant skeleton Heal me!!!!!!!!

Gets a bit annoying when the hosts are clearly not ready for O+S as it is, but stop to try and take out the 2 giants before the fog and die or get invaded when they could just run past and save their estus.

9. Hosts that summon me for a gank, or like to spam Dried Finger as we quest.

10. hosts that demand items from a phantom or worse, an invader.

11. Hosts in the Duke's Archives/Crystal Caves who insist on trying to grab the blue slab, and end up falling off the path as you watch helplessly.

Funny story though: I was helping one guy when someone invaded, and we killed him via 3v1 gank. A bit later I was helping another host, and he summoned the previous invader as 2nd phantom. Awkwardness. Then a bit after that I got summoned by the invader. More awkwardness.

Getting the Blue Slab isn't such a problem. Just take lead and drop Prism Stones every two steps, or so. It's slow, but at least it shows the host the way to go. If the host is stupid enough to die even with the whole path shining then there's nothing you can do, it was natural selection in action.

Hosts that attempt to fight Lautrec and die.

Hosts that dosen't have any Style...I mean...You can atleast look good before getting Slashed/Beaten/Burned/Drowned/Raped.../Eaten by chests and Lagre kitties who isn't so cute AND THE LIST GOES ON.

I can happily say I haven't experienced these.

12. Hosts that jump into the Abyss without the ring and immediately die.
13. Hosts that run into the Centipede Demon lava without the ring and immediately die.

Both of these happened within the past hour.

As an invader I love when hosts turn their coward tails and hide while I kill their phantom and then hunt them down. Fools don't realize that safety comes in ganks.

As a host, I love worthless phantoms that do nothing but make the boss' life bar larger. I summoned this one mage for O&S today, and all she did was kite Ornstin around and actually get killed before I could kill Smough. It was literally easier by myself than with the phantom, because once giant O came in, he had too much HP!
