Crystal +4 vs Normal +15 Comprehensive Database Empty Crystal +4 vs Normal +15 Comprehensive Database

Many of us use mugenmonkey for weapon ARs, however the crystal path AR's is displayed at crystal +5. Playing the fair game, we all know that crystal +5 is not easily restocked since slabs are rare. However some weapons can give us an advantage at crystal +4 which can be restocked by farming chunks. Some of these increased ARs are not worth the effort though, at least for me. For someone else, it can be a reason to be as effective as possible.

Weapons with single AR scaling will be measured at 40 Str or 40 Dex.
Weapons with double AR scaling (C/C, D/C, etc.) will be measured at 40 Str/40 Dex.
Only weapons that can be farmed or bought will be listed.
N+15 ARs taken from mugenmonkey (some fixed values from in-game data)
    PvP top tier weapons listed.

    Notes:

-Crystal Large Club has almost same AR as a Great Club for 1 less weight.

-Crystal Rapier has a little more AR (+4) than Estoc, lower weight and higher critical bonus.

-Crystal Longsword has a little more AR (+4) than SSS, at lower weight and stat requirements.

-Caestus are weaker than claws, even at 40/40.

-The higher the AR, the higher is the difference between normal and crystal AR.

-Anything above 20 AR difference is worth the farming imo.

But doesn't the fact that +15s can be buffed with CMW or resins pretty much make them superior to Crystals?

Also, would love to help with collecting the numbers if you need any.

Go to darksouls.lljk.net, click on the weapons category in the page header, and browse through the catalog. Select any weapon, look at its stats for Crystal +4. E.G., for Claymore: http://darksouls.lljk.net/1.04/weapon/crystal_claymore

    Then go here: https://sites.google.com/site/darksoulstats/dark-souls-calculators/crystal

In the spread sheet, scroll over until you can see columns J and AB. Select both of them, right-click, and set column width to 60 or whatever value you want. This will reveal some background information used by the calculator. Set the base damage to whatever it says on darksouls.lljk.net at Crystal +4. For the Claymore, that's 267. Then go back to the main part of the calculator and use it as you normally would. Crystal +4 Calculator.

You don't need to farm anything, you just need to know the weapon stats, which are readily available (with the exception of DLC weapons, AFAIK). I can tell you that a Crystal Hand Axe +4, with 40 strength and dexterity, is going to have 398 attack rating, and I've never upgraded a Hand Axe past +0 in the entire time I've played the game.

I was actually looking for something like this, but is it possible this stuff has changed? I have a +4 Crystal murakumo and a +15 and it says the +15 has a higher AR

Scratch that, I just realized I forgot to reinforce it to +4 lol!
