The story behind Sif, I just finished the DLC and fought him again. There were no tears the emotion went on through the fight.
Also when I had killed the Giant Blacksmith and Quelaan I felt like a part of me died.

Re: The Saddest Thing In Dark Souls?
Having to kill Sif is really sad, also finishing hollows NPCs like Oscar, Laurentius, Firelink Warrior, Reah, Griggs, Logan, and others that you had as a friend is never cool.
But the saddest part must be, when you acquire the witch ring and talk to Quelaan. God why I always cry on that part?

Sif and by some extent Artorias. I don't know but I got really sad to what happened to Artorias and that we were the ones to end him. I really liked him. As for Sif..we all know why.

Im with Diana on this one guys. Dark Souls has its sad moments but you dont cry. For anyone. You feel remorse and/or sadness but you stay strong and keep moving on. Shed no tears for no person, their true soul, always lies within us.

Re: The Saddest Thing In Dark Souls?
I find King Jeremiah to be a refreshing face because of the headpiece's reference to Demon Souls. It actually made me happy inside.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that can't stand killing Priscilla. I like the fact that she is a half-dragon and she doesn't actually want to fight you.

Oscar, for without him the whole game would have been impossible. I'll be taking that crest shield though bro.

I thought that would be Dough's choice. Has anyone mention Soliare? I mean really did he find his sun?

Brolaire is one of the few who gets his "happy" ending. Y'know, at least to whatever degree it is that burning for all eternity can be considered a "happy ending".

At least he died happy! Out of every npc (besides Patches) he found something to be happy about, well him and Siemeyer and his daughter.

Quelana doesn't die, she ends the game on a relatively good note.

Maiden Astraea actually shares voice actresses with Pricilla and Gwynevere. Not Quelaan/Reah/Sieglinde, though they do sound somewhat similar.
