Re: coop build(s)
http://mmdks.com/oy1 (it uses the dragon head)
Legit coop toon that will destroy everything up to gargoyles. I have an sl 20 build that i use for anti griefing. It has full dragon body, so i can kill most griefers in a few hits of the claws or a critical hit. I sometimes coop with it and the breath/claws are very powerful early in the game.
Kinda cheap though

Looks quite good, self-heals are obviously important. I have mostly coop builds, so the rest of my thoughts depend on your playstyle. At sl60ish I find 1000-1100 hp to be plenty, particularly with the elemental and HR nerfs. Sliding some of that Vit over into Fth for WoG or Vow of Silence (great for protecting hosts from glass cannon mages) may increase your successful coop runs, since you have to think of yourself as playing in a team instead of soloing bosses or invaders. I also like having a weapon with a wide horizontal sweep attack, for cancelling BS attempts on the host. Tbh, can't remember if the crescent axe has one; the various halberds and scythes are all pretty good, as are the ultra greatswords. If you have favorite areas for coop that can also affect spells/weapons depending on the mobs and boss of course.

Re: coop build(s)
Hmmmm my advice on coop builds...
1) Use magic. Hosts love magic. You can **** the boss for them or kill the tough enemies in the flick of a catalyst. who doesn't love that?
2) Have the heal miracle. C'mon guys, it's only 12 faith. Invest those points (4 at most) and make yourself 10 times more self dependent, which really helps out your host.
3) Be able to take aggro. There's no point in a coop glass cannon. Sturdy builds that pack a punch are the best. A high stability shield and minimum of fast roll is what you want.
4) Be able to take a hit. You want plenty of HP, if possible more than is adequate for a toon your level.
5) Make sure it can hold up in pvp. It doesn't have to be (and shouldn't be) pvp orientated. PvP builds can be good for coop, but there's better builds out there that just wouldnt work in PvP, but i'd advise using builds that can be useful, or at least distracting in pvp so the host can be protected.

Re: coop build(s)
Here is the build I am using in Sen's Rant and it is somewhat similar to yours but a slightly lower soul level:
Slower Roll:
http://mmdks.com/oyw
I know you like strength builds and this one does a good job for the lower soul level and I have never had an issue getting summons. Also, if you use the Giant Blacksmith's Hammer or Bastard Sword as a alternative weapon you can do some big damage. Plus, if you change the boots and gloves to Wanderers and us the Claymore instead of the Great Lord Greatsword then you can fast roll.

Re: coop build(s)
Really? The Giant's Blacksmith Hammer? I'll have to check it out...
Have any of you coop-ers put anything into Resistance? Forum Pirate was mentioning it in another thread but I haven't noticed anything from that stat.
Also, if any of you guys can comment on my thread https://soulswiki.forumotion.com/t16580-best-levels-for-coop it'd be appreciated. Need help deciding on a level for coop.
Sorry for semi-jacking your thread!
The only thing I'd add here is that decide on a level, and decide what levels you'd like to do with the host. Lots of people just get summoned for boss fights, but I like doing entire levels with the host. Blighttown, Anor Londo, Sen's Fortress, and Tomb of Giants are all favourites; don't really enjoy the later levels (New Londo is just a dash for the boss, Lost Izalith is dull, Duke's is so-so). I enjoy doing entire levels and not just runs for the boss, so I'm trying to pick my level based on the levels I like. I've decided on 42 for now, but trying to get more coop people to add some input.

Does anyone ever use the princess guard miracles? They seem like they would be useful, besides having to have 48 faith to use them

Resistance gives an invisible damage resistance buff, sorta like the blue tearstone ring in nature that it is not measurable. Here is the quote from the wiki;
Dark Souls Wiki wrote:Resistance offers a static debuff on damage. 1 point of res = 1 point less damage taken, or 1% less damage taken, whichever value is -lower-. Attacks that would normally kill you have about a 7 time multiplier on damage reduced. This only has effect on PvE enemies in game, not other Players and hence is not useful for PvP.

Re: coop build(s)
Speaking from an invader's point of view, the best thing you can do to beat us is never take us on head-on! Make a build that will benefit from taking on the invader with the help of your friends. So what I recommend is a good shield, and a weapon with a lot of range (Befowler mentioned scythes, and that's a great suggestion). When the invader is going for you, I recommend you turtle and let your friends take him on from the sides. When he changes his attention to one of your friends, it's your turn to go on the offensive. A good invader will swap targets often and rapidly, but a weapon with a lot of range will allow you to stay relatively out of harm's way, and make it hard for him to dodge your attacks when he's focusing his attention on someone else.
Also, I hate getting backstabbed as much as the next guy, but it's probably your safest move against invaders! So a backup critical weapon wouldn't be a bad idea.

I'm planning this http://tinyurl.com/bfqofcc as a co-op build, sort of a warrior monk type with the Lucerne, and to actually make use of the Princess' Guard Cov and its miracles.

Re: coop build(s)
i actually co-oped with a princess guard member recently, whats more the host was a caster and my guy was a tank, it made thing way easy... i took hits and traded with my Dga, the guard member healed and faith casted (lightning spears and wog and of course group heals) and the host blasted things to ash with magic while i kept enemies away from him... the power of a balanced team is scary.

A cleric-style build can become a pretty formidable tank. GMB will send most mages running for the hills, in hopes that they can wait it out.

Re: coop build(s)
@mark the giant smith hammer is one of the best weapons for low sl builds dude, try it. it actually realy good for sl 99 too becausse of its stunlock. vow of silence is a great idea since i see A LOT of pure casters that just wanna come in and ohko the host. i guess ill have to make to since i wanna help people in the low sl and places like btown and sen's which is a pain in the *** to keep the host alive if you start at the beginning.

Re: coop build(s)
Most fun imo: anor londo, doing it from start to finish on one go, no bonfires, and getting every item/killing every enemy. That's a long haul and you normally fight an invader or two as well!
