Need co-op help Black Dragon Kalameet PSN SL 183

Cant seem to even make a dent in him

I currently don't have any toons within that SL range, but I plan on taking the one I'm working on now to SL 155, so I'll be within range in the next day or two. If you still need help with it when that happens I'll help you out. I can't say for sure when it's going to be, but I'm steadily working towards it.

I'm at 138 now, so in another 10 levels or so we can start trying. My understanding is that it's 10 + 10%, but I'm also a sunbro, so my co-op reach is extended. I should be able to help you at 150ish.

I do still need help, I've been trying and the best I've done solo is getting him down to 50%. I did have to level up a bit though so now I'm a SL 183. I think you would need to be a SL 158 for me to be able to summon you. If you're that high though, I would still love the help. My psn nick is the same as my name on here. let me know if you would be able to and when you're usually available

I don't mean to sound a ****, but i did at SL 84, however, I spammed crystal soul spear, soul spear, crystal homing soulmass and homing soulmass and white dragon breath. It took all of the former 4, and nearly all of white drag breath to kill him. What build are you?

I'm a dex/str build with very low int/faith. I can't use most of the magic spells. Also, I'm on NG+9 so he's got a bit more health and damage to him

Oh.... Well in that case.... I see why you're stuck. If you want, try using Power Within with Lingering DragonCrest Ring. It might help. Also, summon as many phantoms as you can.

He's going to keep leveling with you. My advice is to stop leveling until after you beat him. He's going to get consistently tougher, and you're going to take yourself farther and farther away from prevalent co-op help, as most people stop leveling much lower than that. That's not to say you won't find help at all, but it's much more prevalent at lower SLs. I'm planning on leveling to somewhere between 150 and 155, so I'm still willing to try, but can't promise anything, and I also am not entirely sure when I'll get there. What are your stats? If you can use Havel's shield you can probably negate almost all the damage he can dish out at you. I'd say with a build that's focused on STR/DEX that might be your best bet. Maybe couple it with a good strong spear, like a leveled Pike, grab some lightning resin's, and just take your time and poke him to death from behind your portable wall. Maybe pop on the spell stoneplate ring too just to be a bit safer from his breath attacks.

If you can't use Havel's, the Stone GSh is a fair stand-in.

That was one of the reasons I leveled up was so I could use havels sheild. Now I can equip the full set and still quickroll.

I thought the creatures/bosses only leveled with each new game. Do they really level as the player levels up?

I'm pretty sure they do. Either way, if you can use Havel's now I'd think you should still be able to handle it. The first time I solo'd him I did it at 120, with no armor, behind Havel's shield with a spear. Havel's shield is so good in PvE it might as well be cheating.

Actually maybe I'm wrong. Maybe they don't level with you.

Fyi, the enemies won't scale to your level, only the current game cycle will affect their stats.

At any rate, I just ran my own stat projections through mugenmonkey, and the SL range through the wiki's calculator, and I don't think I'll be taking my toon close enough to you for co-op. Sorry man. I would have if you were just a couple SL's closer. Try with Havel's GS, and I think you should find it much more approachable.

I have a faith build within that range who can provide support. I'll be available tonight if you and Plastic need a third wheel.
