Talk about dem whips

How are they? Do they work well with being buffed with poison resin? As in, does poison resin even work on them and do they have ok speed and range? I know their attack isn't the best but surely they have some redeemable features?

While we're on the subject, are there any other weapons that are especially humiliating to lose against? Or any weapons that go great with poison resin?

Whips depends on Who you Fight and How you upgraded it.

I use a DIVINE Whip +10 (Made it for the Thropy :3) and i can give 100-200 Damage per Hit. I guess they would work With Buffs (Example: Poison) since they aren't ''special''.

Humiliating to Lose against? Fist Weapons. BUFFED Fist Weapons. FEAR MY FIRE FISTS.

I was excited when I tried out whips, but they turned out, for me at least, to be very boring. I expected them to be fast and have uniquely cool movesets, but neither happened.

The only thing humiliating to lose against is an inferior player. Sometimes it's hard to shut the game off even when you're so tired you can barely keep your eyes open, but getting beat by a Great Combustion spammer is a wake up call that sleep is needed.

Another way of Killing someone. THORN SET. It can do up to 25-40 In one Roll.

whips are almost back stab proof whe two handed due to their funky hit box, other wise their move set and lack of riposte or backstab ability are pretty bad, they are good for dex buff builds but a curved sword could do the same but faster with more reliability once the buff wears out...

Whip-cream.

I've tried using the whips in battle, but I just seem to whip ***. Unless it's in a Castlevania game, but that's another story.

they are nice in the offhand since you can parry with them and they can't be parried so its good to use on people who spam parry

That was a great demonstration of using the weapon. But just don't think I can master it in this game. Cool video though. Thanks for the share.

I'm using Notched Whip. While it has the lowest AR it has bleed. I main hand a katana and sometimes off hand this whip, because it can keep building up bleed and it can't be parried. It's great against parry happy opponents.

Guardian's Tail has the biggest AR and does Poison too. It can be buffed with Rotten Resin for extra Poison build up, but I just hate it's looks and never use it.

If you use DMB, or SLB on a whip (not sure about Guardian's), the buff is NOT visible, unless you swing the thing. Meaning your opponent won't know what hit him. It doesn't work on Magic Weapon buffs, because they change the whips colour to blue.

It infuriates me to no end that whips have almost no range!

Watch Underworld 1, observe Vampire dual welding whips, be amazed...
Then witness the Vampire befall the same fate that happens to me when I use whips.
