    I just lord vessel'd to the Sunlight altar and was planning what to do when I invaded people, but then I was surprised when I saw a spell fly right by my head. I turned and saw a vagrant standing right in front of the sunbro altar statue. It looked like a hollow ball with half of it's surface missing, and was all white except for a red crab claw.

    I totally killed it, but I was just surprised to see it there of all places. I think this might be a sign...

    I have met over 13 vagrants in total in Dark Souls. Take it as something of a reward; most never find them until a long time.

    First time I've heard of one at the Sunlight Altar. The Parish Altar is one of the most common spawn points, but I've not seen one at this location.

    I recently found my first vagrant in Anor Londo. Oddly enough, I was hollow. (Thought you could only find them as human?)

    Nope... you can find both human and hollow. It is the fact of Online play that is probably needed in order to require that of the Crab Aberrants
