    Hey guys

    I am really enjoying my sl16 sunbro and huge thx go out to those who have helped me gear him so far special mention to Mildred and bozarhd

    However I didn't take a lot of time to plan my sunbro and as a result my weapon chooses are limited as I only allowed myself 8 dex

    I would like to make a new co-op build which is melee again and refine my choices however being a new comer to the community and game I was hoping I could ask for some pointers around weapon chose and armory etc.

    I would still like to retain 20 faith so that I can use the sunbird lightening spear however str and dex are obviously dependent on my weapons of choice.

    I have heard that fire gargoyles halberd is good ? I have also used fury blade and quite like it also however I'm sure there are many options I could go for and I do understand that making a call based on another persons play style is hard sad

    Warrior would be the best class bet, beginning with 13 strength and 13 dex, giving you early access to both types of items.

    Raise strength to 16, then put the rest in faith in attunement... like this.

    This would allow the most inclusive weaponry set.

    ^Not bad. But going 14 dex instead of 13 opens up a lot more weapons options. And going Cleric can potentially make it lower level, if you don't mind having a little less End:

    Turns out there aren't that many weapons you can use at 14 dex that you can't use at 13, so in terms of raw numbers it may not seem like so many more, but those you do gain access to are really worth 1 point.


    *Be aware: you can use the parrying dagger in your left hand to parry even if you don't meet the stats requirements. But to use it to attack, you need the stats.

    Ah, well then: 16/14 was a good call.

    The Cleric class is still a better fit, though. silly

    Question must be asked, why not just raise your character 6 levels, and move dex from 8->14?

    You're SL 16, making it SL22 should still let you co-op just fine, probably even in the burg. Those 10+10% numbers aren't always accurate, but even if they were, you'd be able to play with level 10-34, which is a prime section of Jolly Cooperation!

    Again thank you all for your input on this topic it has been great.

    A Quick update for you all I ended up going with this build instead and raising my level to 19 ClicK

    I prefer a melee style of play but this also allows me to use some healing spells as well. Unfortunately I can no longer use my lightening spear from the sunbros but all in all it is a very fun build with many available weapons and utilities available to me. yes it is a pain having to change rings to be able to use my spells however it really is fun pulling out gravelord sword dance (big version) and fire tempest for when pesky invaders come in to ruin peoples days winking
