what weapons do you like?

im just looking to try something new. i want something like the silver knight straight sword. i like the moveset and how fast it strikes but the scaling is too low what weapons do you like? 3358384175

so any ideas? i need it to be buffable as well because i want to use the darkmoon blade buff. feel free to add your build opinion if you so desire. i am not against a faith build but i would prefer to keep the damage one type. (physical or magic or fire etc.)

Balder Side Sword has a respectably simple but quick moveset with scaling slightly better than the SKSS, enchantable and somewhat fun to farm for.
Darksword has slightly more base damage, decent moveset, same weight as SKSS but is enchantable.
Uchigatana is a popular one.

If you're willing to learn a moveset beside swords, Lucerne and the Gargoyle's Halberd are both fun.

have you tried reading other posts about weapons/builds etc? i am sure this question has been asked a milion times in this forum so you could find what you're looking for quite easily

IIRC, the Zwei has the same moveset and damage as the Greatsword, but lower stats to yield. May be wrong about the moveset though.

Right now, I am into Zwei (faith-str) or BKGA with a DS off hand. It can be deadly. 2 completely different movesets that work well together. And, it can keep your opponents off guard.

Rant got me good with his DGM last night. Couldn't get the spacing right. Nice job.

silver knight and balder at maxed lvls have equal attack at 40 dex, so really your choice there, as both are enchantable, mybae a rapier? nah only the estoc can slash...

Faith Morning star is great whit my 35 faith and im bulding a faith helbard atm to but cant get to the dam smith in the darkroot garden...want the helbard just to get some range

The Demon's Great Axe. Very good when you upgrade it normally with regular titanite (has STR "s" scaling at max) and then buff it with charcoal.

The claymore or the bastard sword can be good options, as they do not require many points to be usuable (16 strength, 10 dexterity). The only difference between the two is the one handed heavy attack - claymore has a single straight thrust, and the bastard sword has a horizontal slice.

thank you, close fights are always the most fun. and that bkga/ds combo deadly, you didnt lose a single match when i was hosting, ive had a lot of practice agaisnt those two things since theyre used a lot in pvp, i have to pick my opennings and guess when my oponents are going to attack.

GreatSword for Pvp as the R1 covers around 300 Degrees and is decent for stopping those BS'ers.

PvE I stick with my Greatsword of Artorias as my Build is high level 210 right now.

I've been looking into it, and a greatsword +15 + SLB would be a beast. Especially if you have your faith up to 50 w darkmoon talisman.

However, it's only a 1 minute buff, so it's not so good for general PVE.

I like the unblock able R2 attack of the shotel, +15 and with slb buff makes quick work of turtles, but the range and damage unbuffed is quite lacking.

The Darksword does the same amount of damage as the starting weapon of the Knight Class, but swings slower, and takes more stamina per swing. It's not a good weapon, and I was severely disapointed by it.

I tend to leave it as a lightning +5, it does about 270 damage per R2 attack, so it whittles down shielders... I save the SLB for other, stronger weapons. The Shotel tends to remain lightning for a viable, consistant backup weapon.

2 hand it and break through a Havels Shield guard in 5 hits... best Stamina Cost to Shield Block Cost ratio in the game; but low damage to work with.
