I made a comment about this in the "Completely Useless facts I find Interesting" thread on July 24th.

In hindsight, I should have thought about using it against
Wrath of Gods +
Tranquil Walk of Peace, instead of against weapons. However, I still don't think it is too useful in actual practice, so I stand behind calling it a mechanical novelty.
