The regen is paltry...why not give it a boost depending on your Faith level? And why give it only 95% physical protection if the regen is only 1 HP per second? In battle that's a net loss.

Consider though that, Leeroy, its original wielder rocks the Sanctus on his back.
He doesn't even entertain the idea of blocking with it. But, yes, I agree it's all in all a pretty worthless shield.

It's great on a no-bonfire run. But this is the PvP section, so for PvP, it sucks. Maybe combined with Karmic Justice... maybe.

I use the sanctus on my SL200 strictly for looks. I just wish the wolf ring aura didn't override the sanctus yellow aura.

Sanctus is actually pretty good if you combine it with other life regenerating items/abilities ala Replenishment and the Buther's Knife.
