Why do you write things ?
For other people to enjoy i presume, and if you keep People from reading your Stories thats counterproductive .
However i know its a different thing posting it on the Internet than show it to People you see everyday.
Its reasonable i suppose.

One thing to consider is whether the person will be able to give him an actual critique either. They may not be able to absorb his work and put their views of it properly into words. As well Destructive Criticism is never something a person should want.
I'd say yes Wade shouldn't feel ashamed of his writing. But it's his decision if he wants to avoid possible social stigma he may find himself facing.
Hell I don't even write about ponies and I don't let people see my work.

There's world of difference between a stranger on the internet reading ym stuff and two good friends. Besides, when was the last time writing Fanfiction about MY LITTLE PONY in any way a good social commerce?

If People are biased towards something there is basicly nothing you can do . If they give it a chance however it all comes down wether your work sucks or not .

Well, there's also the problem of my other stories. Some of them are... explicit. That's not something that'd go down well with friends.
