I've had enough of this bull

I have had it. There is no safe place to duel anymore. Until the DC comes out I am done, and if it doesn't fix this bull then I am done permanetly. I did not pay $60 to be gang raped every match even in the burg EVERY match it's gankers or glitchers. I have had it with this community. It was once good and pure but look what it has become, a world where people have to gank to feel any sense of honour. Sorry for the ranting but I just can't take it anymore, even the FC's are becomeing bad, known people are using cheap tricks to win and it's just not fun anymore. I use to have such a blast on this game when people actually knew how to fight good and with honour, not anymore. Please From fix this damn game or I'm not buying the next souls game -.-

its all on the community which is mostly **** imo. theres nothing you can do really but maybe take a break and if that doesnt help then just get another game or go to the forest specifically looking for gankers which is aways fun since most of them suck so going agaisnt three of them at the same time is actually a challenge, its like fighting a good pvp'er. also the game wasnt designed around pvp, its more of a pve game and most people that got this game got it for the pve, the pvp'ers like us are a very small part of the game, never go into a fight expecting the other guy to follow your own code and youre gonna have more fun.

Oh yes you can, get rid of ganking = problems fixed. I don't care about the glitches, they don't show up that often but the gankers, they annoy me so much. I might play FC's every now and then but other than that I am done. Every single time no matter where I go it's gankers. Idc about the DWGR or anything else just get rid of the gankers ffs! I hope the DLC will do this since there's dueling. But if I keep fighting gankers at this rate I will lose my sanity.

Then dont do high level PvP. Low level works a breeze and even if you get BSed the weapons are never that good anyway. I do a hell of a lot of SL 70 invasions and Gravelording and stuff and I have yet to come across Gankers!

BUt yeah most people suck and wont hesitate to gank you first opportunity...

My question is about the FC's with no BS and miracles how do people play unfairly?

Rant: I don't expect them to follow my code I expect From to fix their damn game. They obviously knows there's tons of problems with constantly getting ganked so fix it ffs! Make the phantoms have like 50% of their normal hp, defense, damage, ect (at least when a vader invades!)

Cloud: I like to use buffs, if I host I only get one buff. And hell who's to say I won't get ganked by vaders, wouldn't be a first.

Maybe the No holds barred FC isnt for you then. That one is for people who just want to go all out against one another.

People will always find a way to enjoy a game by abusing it's faulty mechanics. The DLC will fix many things, but as always, a new form of cheating/abuse will arise and people will enjoy doing that. It's how the human mind works, I don't know why though. Me personally like to play a game by its rules, to the extreme that I detest playing any board game if the group doesn't want to play the game by its official rules. I know that many people are like me and you gaxe, so don't lose hope. Just learn how to counter all the cheap tactics while playing by your honor rules and you'll feel good and badass.

Im of the opposite opinion. I took some of my self impose rules away during my PvP

Like NO BSING EVER

No use of Pyros (I hated thos things)

No use of poison etc

And I have never hand more fun playing this game.

I'm pretty sure FC isn't like that.. I mean i admit i haven't attended in a while (it's sad news to me that they allow BS now lol), but i would have thought most people wouldn't attack you before you bow, and if they do they should really stop and allow you to heal for equal footing.

i'm pretty surprised bs is in now though, considering all the angst and controversy surrounding it.. oh and the fact that the mechanic is total broken ******** thanks to lag lol

What type of Ganking are you talking about? 3v1 when you get summoned, or being level 10 and being attacked by someone who has +15 gear?

We're allowing them to practice for random PvP. I think it's actually cool as long as we don't abuse them (we have a no chain bs, no bs fishing rule).

well problem i always found is just BSing itself is abuse. it's abuse of a mechanic that is in dire need of change due to the lag that is present in the game.

As i've said before, in dark souls pvp there is no such thing as a lag free clear cut bs, only unfair lagstabs. I genuinely think it's literally impossible to be BS'd in dark souls pvp and not have your character teleport slightly unless you're standing still.

other problem i found is that everyone has divided opinions over what constitutes as 'bs fishing', as you can see yourself in our very own exibit A; the OP gaxe.

I agree with you but once you get used to the lag (the minimal lag that is) you can counter them and predict them. I know the difference between a legit bs and a lagstab, the difference is damn obvious. They say backstabs are more difficult to execute in the DLC so I hope lagstabs are gone for good.

like you say, in minimal lag it is possible to predict and avoid/counter the bs attempts, but the problem is more often than not when you encounter a particularly laggy match, or even just a slightly more laggy match, the bs measures you're used to are basically out the window since the timings you operate on will be wrong, guys will bs while infront of you, your character will get pulled back into a pre roll position to bs you...

my favourite is the fact that even in the least laggy of matches, you can bs someone and it does no damage due to them attacking at same time as you, which is the epitamy of showing how broken BS is.

That works both ways, but everthing in pvp is abusing lag, the faster the weapon the more abuse. Thats how the pvp works, bsing is hardly any different, it just hurts more (most of the time anyways, casters can beat it with high level spells)

Well here's all the reasons why I am quitting pvp for now.

1: And first most is ganking!

2: Backstabs...not in general, but what people do with them.

3: People have no honour anymore

4: Hackers

5: Spear users, ROFL , jk...except for the dragonslayer spear <.<

6: DWGR

7: Even more ganking

8: ..you get the point by now xD

Some of these things are getting patched in the DLC, thank god!

1) Host

2) DLC fix hopefully

3) Honor is subjective

4) Extremely rare

5) Spacing practice and/or choose a ranged option

6) Again, being fixed in DLC, and all the rolls are being upgraded

7) Again, host

8) This has been captain obvious of the USS common sense

I agree with you on that forum, though thing is the reason bs is worse in my eyes at least is because BS is meant to be a form of punishment. the lag causing it to become so arbitrary to land one combined with the fact it does such a significant amount of damage is more than reason enough to put it as more concerning that the way lag effects weapons otherwise.
