I'm not sure what you mean by, who they went through. Any way of getting it out to more people is good, i wouldn't hold back. I do feel like we are going to be ignored by even some console owners. A lot of people think it is coming out Oct 25th, which if that was true i would not have bothered doing this. That doesn't seem to be the case though, and Namco Bandai is clearly going to milk it for as long as they can before they give an official date.

Yeah, we're definitely going to need to up the anti! I think 10,000 sigs is probably a little optimistic at this point, unless a couple of the YT'ers get behind it (though it shouldn't be because I'm sure there are many times more annoyed PS3/Xbox users out there!). What date have you set to send the petition off, fruit? Or are you just going to see how it goes?
I'm going to start posting this around on anything Dark Souls related. Is there any news on getting it put on the Wiki?
P.S - Does anyone have any sway on GameFaqs? Getting it stickied there would also help I would imagine.

Re: Namco Bandai Petition \0/
I got a few positive responses on Gamefaqs, and a few people said they signed. Its going to be VERY difficult to get 10k sigs, and even if we do it might not even get looked at. I'm just seeing how it goes. We really need an OFFICIAL release date from Namco Bandai. A lot of people think the release is Oct 25th. Which i can see why they wouldnt really mind waiting 2 months, i would not either. At this point im over the fact i have to wait, its just the fact that Namco Bandai is being really sleazy. I want them to know we are not pleased , i suggest you all just don't buy namco bandai games new from now on. Thats really the most we can do.

I'm trying to spread to my non-gaming connections, to see if we can attract a different type of supporter. Most don't want to sign because they think I'm trying to sell them something/don't get what the petition's about. :|

Hi all, I'm new to this forum but I've been following many of the threads here for some time. I do have a question, I keep seeing everyone say the DLC for the consoles will be out in Dec. Does anyone have any confirmation of this or is this just speculation about the 'winter' release announcement?

Re: Namco Bandai Petition \0/
If they don't announce something by the end of the week, im going to have to say that this is most likely a mistake by the website.. It really irks me how shady namco bandai has been being with this. I would love for them to release it earlier, but it is clear they are withholding that info so more console owners opt for buying the PC edition. I don't mind spending money to support a developer and game i love, but theres a point where it is too much even if i can afford it.

Re: Namco Bandai Petition \0/
ive posted the link on a few twitch channels and met with harsh replies. their responses ranged and made good points. They asked do I want a rushed and buggy DLC? i said PC is the like the test run right now, and also in a 4 month span how many of hardcore player that break down and buy the pc version or just give up on waiting wont be playing at all. that was the most common reply. 2 monthes seems fair especailly for the low (almost non existant) advertising. PC community will consist of mainly console player moving to and from platform to platform IMO. Console being their strongest base they should not neglect it.

Re: Namco Bandai Petition \0/
I would refrain from posting links on twitch or other similar chats. We aren't going to get many more sigs, people are pretty convinced that the console DLC is coming Oct25th. Unless namco bandai makes an official announcement saying Dec 30th or some crap, we wont get many supporters. I would not mind waiting 2 months, so the people who think thats the wait think this petition is silly. Which once again i don't blame them. We knew that this was not going to get DLC out on consoles fast enough for it to really matter, its more about showing Namco Bandai we are upset they chose to use this marketing tactic in the first place.

Re: Namco Bandai Petition \0/
A ton of information here, and I have not read it, so apologies.
I see a number of positives for releasing to PC first.
XBox/PSN patches are costly in terms of time and money. Lots of red tape. Putting it through the PC first allows patches and tweaks to be delivered regularly, to hopefully fix everything on Xbox/PSN in one fell swoop. The PC players should be able to iron out a lot of flaws before then. If you release on both locations at the same time, you might not spoil things, but the game may not be as balanced. As an avid PvP player, I feel this is more important than any spoilers that I can just avoid. I haven't really seen any yet, and I haven't been looking.
This could just be a somewhat of a beta for the PvP arena.
On the other hand, if the game is done and they just have to go through xbox/playstation red tape, is it fair for PC gamers to wait? I'm the type of guy that wants my food delivered as soon as it's done in a restaurant; I do not like waiting because someone else has a slower dish. I see this as sort of the same thing, with the only difference you have to avoid spoilers. Not a big deal to me.
And that you're withdrawing support for such an amazing game series as this, which should get more credit/support than it does, over such a trivial matter? The game is fantastic, and I will definitely not be buying second hand, and I will be buying the DLC on Xbox. It's not a money grab by From, it's a money grab from Xbox/Playstation. Take your beef up with them.
As for the content release... honestly if it makes the xbox/psn releases and patches better, then I'm all for it. I can avoid the spoilers!
One last thing: do you think they purposely are making you wait just to piss you off? I think they are working as fast as they can, with long overtimes (game industry works it's people to exhaustion) and that the release date is beyond their control. There is no reason, absolutely none that they would delay it just for the heck of it. Doesn't make any business sense.
Edit: Does anyone here, before they go all up in arms, ask WHY from has released the content to the PC gamers before the consoles? I'd sign up for a petition that just asks them why.

I really hope that the patches come through on the DLC, but I doubt it. But I do hope that the extra playing time on the PC will highlight any issues that need addressing.

Re: Namco Bandai Petition \0/
i don't mind about the release date really. the pc edition would sell less if the dlc was released at the same time. you can disagree with it all you like but in the end they aren't gonna turn down what will be a pretty big income for FROM to become a doormat that can't say no to it's customers.
They already released it on pc. they already announced there will be dlc. I'm happy with that outcome alone. To me moving a release date just due to impatience isn't really something that's gonna happen. it's just not a proper reason.

Money. Thats it. By releasing PC first they are trying to make console players buy the PC version and spend more money for the new content.IV_Mark_VI wrote:Edit: Does anyone here, before they go all up in arms, ask WHY from has released the content to the PC gamers before the consoles? Re: Namco Bandai Petition \0/
to be fair, the petition for a pc version was started long before the petition for dlc.. i think it's only fair the pc gamers get the content first for showing the interest they did in the first place
