Has anyone used the Grant since the patch? I wondered if it's any good. I have 34 strength right now. Is it better to take this to 50 so I can keep using a shield?

It's... not bad. For PvP I wouldn't try but I'm in NG++ and with 65STR/FTH it is 1hand 1shotting most fodder I run into and will stunlock bigger stuff and allow me to follow up quite nicely. Also it has a better attack rating for me than the Greatsword of Artorias. Just don't expect to move much unless you up endurance and use havels ring.

I didn't think it would be much good in PvP. I don't know how anyone manages to fight with those big slow weapons. Personally, I'd rather pick someone apart slowly, with an estoc, but that's me. Still, I was kind of curious to see how some of these uber weapons worked.
