yup.... they show the artorias boss fight.....I watched the first second of the cut scene. I think im going to have to stop coming to the forums guys. 3months, possibly more, is just insane gap in the release date. I personally will not be purchasing any namco bandai games new from here on, they dont deserve my money. I do still want the games they publish though

Well this is ********. That skyrim dlc, the 360 had a 1month exclusive, people ***** about that. I would kill if it were only a month. I wish i had a gaming pc, but i don't. I just realized that the official namco site doesnt even have a forum section for dark souls. Despite having one for all their other games.

The japanese fromsoft site hints at the dlc comming for "them" october 25th, for us its just "winter". WTF! even october 25th is ********..... RAGE!

Lol, the guy playing claims he is a hardcore souls player, yet he plays like a total noob. He dashes enemies as soon as they start there attack animation. I didn't want to watch the whole video, but I did.. D:

Just goes to show that Dark Souls doesn't teach your character how to play, it teaches you, MR I BEAT NG+++++++++++++++++++++++ and I'm a boss. What a joke! I watched it all, and I don't feel it spoils enough to not want to watch it, its really lacking details, which may be because he can't play the damn game! OH well, I'm so ready for this DLC my heads about to explode!

Yea, i don't think maybe a month long exclusive,like how Skyrim dlc was with 360, would be all that bad. It would still give people incentive to purchase the pc version, without totally pissing off all the fans who had already purchased the game. A 4mnth wait for consoles owners though......thats really just a slap to the face of the fans who supported the game in the first place. I have honestly lost any respect i had for namco bandai, and also fromsoft for dealing with them.

I don´t really take things like that seriously, i just think to myself "I´m sure they had their reasons for this" and go on. Maybe i should take it more seriously?

It's hard to care if you are able to just buy the pc edition. I would say the majority of the people who bought it on consoles dont have access to a computer that can play it though. Its clearly them trying to make their money back, but i think 4mnths(maybe more ,maybe less) is way too much. I, and im pretty sure others will too, am going to have to just not come to these forums for that whole time to avoid spoilers and temptation to spoil. It's not a big deal, but i think they took it a little too far by making the release dates so far apart. Its just a greedy move on namco bandais part, and in my opinion its not even a smart move. I doubt many people who werent planning on buying the pc version will now. Most people who werent planning on buying it dont have a means of playing it, so its not like they are going to go spend hundreds-thousands of dollars just to play it. Its just greedy and stupid, which is why i have loss a lot of respect for namco bandai and fromsoft.

I'd rather buy Dark Souls twice then to waste money on the myriad of other **** games that come out. Yes it sucks that console owners have to wait, but they needed something to help boost sales of the PC version. Had they been able to up the framerate and overall visuals then it might have been enough, but since it's a straight port they needed something exclusive.


I'll be buying the PC version and most likely the DLC again for Xbox as I'd rather support a company that puts out a good game then to boycott them in anger and risk not getting future releases. I'm personally hoping the PC version sells a ton so the next game can be designed for the PC from the ground up and have superior visuals. I own all the consoles and a good PC so when given the choice I always go PC. Needless to say I'm not a fanboy of any machine, I buy the game for whatever is the superior version.

Something is very odd about how they chose the release dates. Did you know that the rest of the world is actually getting the PC version before japan? Japan has the release dates for both PC & DLC set for oct,25,2012. I got that info from a press release on fromsofts jpn website. Doesn't that just seem odd? I know Japan doesn't have the biggest pc gaming community, but still. I also heard that the price went down on steam(not sure if thats true). Well we are going to see a new trailer soon, they are supposed to be releasing one during Gamescon next week. Supposedly it has hawk eye gough in the trailer.


It's really easy for people who own gaming pcs and are buying it day 1 to say that the wait is not a big deal. Four months possibly more, maybe less, is a pretty long exclusive considering it started on consoles. I do understand the need for sales, but most the sales will comes from people who have not played the game yet and mainly game on pc. So i really dont believe it would effect sales all that much. I gotta also disagree with further titles being on pc, fromsoft made it clear they are not experienced with pcs. It would make the development time for the next game HUGE, and possibily risk the quality of the game rather then make it better. Thats all assumptions obviously, but they did publicly announce they're not experienced with pcs. I guess it really depends on how the pc edition turns out.
