The Steam Forums make me sick.

If you go onto the DkS Steam Forums, it's all prissy, entitled PC snobs ***** about KB/M support and how gamepads suck. This is the main reason I am buying it on the PC, so I can flex the superiority of the gamepad in a game that IS MADE TO BE PLAYED WITH A GAMEPAD.

I try not to get into PS3 or PC users face about anything, I'm pleased you like your system, and I like mine, in the future, I actually plan to make the switch to PC, but I'm amazed on how most PC people are. It just seems like they don't get it or something, so many are elitist and for no good reason. I will not defend that the Xbox or the PS are better computers than a computer is, that would be silly, but not everyone wants to spend $800-$2000 dollars on an amazing to good computer, and is happy with a system. I read some people complaining about how they aren't making the graphics better and how they were going to buy it, but because they aren't improving it, they won't? Terrible damage! I always say graphics don't matter, as long as they aren't terrible terrible terrible, and the walls are where they should be (as in, no lazy boxes, if the object is, say a Star Destroyer, I want to be able to fly safely on its sides, not blow up when I get close to it.)

I just can't wait to see them pvp using the "WASD" setup, lol!

People are more so worried about From mentioning they are inexperienced with porting to the PC. Which I think is a fair thing to consider when pre-ordering a game or not. But yeah, graphically it is a good looking game I think. If it runs, I can't see it really having any issue. The optimization is the only thing they should worry about.

Look at the title.

It's the same as saying "The Gamefaqs forums make me sick", which they do.. Rather unfriendly bunch in all honesty.

Besides.. just because the steam forum is full of pricks (not that I'd know first hand) doesn't mean the machine is bad, it's not even hinted at

Because steam is associated with PC gaming, but that still has no bearing at all on starting 'console wars'....

You made a statement that was incorrect, so now you are trying to defend it. Frankly nothing god can really come of a thread like this.

Let me clear the air here.

I was by no means trying to start a flame war, I am an avid gamer on Xbox, PS3, and PC, I'm just tired of people bashing Dark Souls just because they are too ignorant to get past one detail that, while major, is very understandable. The whole KB+M Vs. Gamepad thing is ridiculous, PC gamers just don't understand that the speed, timing, and fluidity provided by the gamepad is Uber-important for Dark Souls, because that's how the game was designed.

I don't think that From should reinvent the wheel to pander to an audience that they weren't even going to service in the first place.

I'm still sure as hell buying it though.

Please no debating you two. Given your prolific posting habits, you WILL break the forums. The wiki will crumble without a social extension, and From will decide not to release a new game because this amazing community has now defected to random, less awesome places. Think of the kittens.
