What to do with all these souls?

I finally commited to a low level play through.
I'm a level 12 pyromancer. Went to level 12 to use the weapons I want.

Apart from having to nearly always having to play perfectly, my main issue is that I'm always carrying way more souls than I want to lose. I'm not to Andre yet so I can't put them all into upgrades, and I've stocked up on all sorts of consumable goodies.
Any clever suggestions/experience?

Well at a low level and being in the beginning of the game i would suggest using the souls to level up more to atleast 120 (pvp range), or buy better weapons, upgrades, consumables, or armor. I think the best choice would be to level up but it is up to you.

The point is to not level up.

If you dont like leveling up than i would go for better weapons and armor before anything. At your level it will be hard to find a good weapon that fits your stats though.

You can really only use your souls to buy stuff if you're not leveling. I'd get to Andre and the Female Merchant asap. Don't forget you can also trade snuggly an upgraded chaos pyro-glove for a red slab, and that takes a lot of souls.

Upgrading your pyromancy flame.
Buying consumables (Resins, Homeward Bones)
Buying extra gear (I find the Poisonbite ring sold by Oswald is very useful for the depths)
Buying shards/twinkling
Buying extra rings (Bellowing Ring is good on a pyromancer).
Buying arrows (flame, lightning bolts, poison)

I never used magic or pyro before with 7 playthroughs. Have used miracles. Upgrading pyro is expensive!
I just got killed by queelags half sexy *** for the first time.

Flash Sweat helps a lot. Lightning Resin + fast attack weapon helps, and a shield that has a high Physical and Fire resist (with good stability) can help a lot too. Dragon Crest shield or Crystal shield or Heater shield are all decent.

Pretty sure Queelag is immune to fire.

Yep she sure is. But upgrading pyromancy isn't for Queelag; it's something to do with all his souls.

Just upgrade you flame and upgrade your weapons. or you can just save them to buy expensive pryomancies

I exacted my revenge after four attempts. Got to be cautious of her explosion magic technique. One hit kills me every time.

I have an indecent amount of stamina, and I always two hand her? I adjusted my strategy and bested her. I was too greedy, going for all the hits I could get. The secret was to get two or three in then back off. When she does her fire throw up attack then i go in for a big buffet of queelag *** kicking.

Yep. And using Resin + a dagger or something that hits fast for little stamina drain.

I used balder side sword, but I ran out of resin. It's only at +5 now, so it took awhile

I'd recommend something else.

Either something fast, that you can buff with a Resin, or something that doesn't rely on Stat scaling; Drakesword, Reinforced Club, Axes...

Yeah, I know, but I just got it, never seen it before, and once I commited to a lengthy poke fest I couldn't chicken out and bring out the big sticks.

On my several recent characters I have been sticking to one set of armor and only one or two weapons. For some reason I enjoy being locked into a style of combat. This way, instead adapting my gear to each situation, which is easy once you know your way, I adapt my play style. So, instead of smashing queelags nasty hoe spider *** like I have a thousand times before, I found a new exciting way to do battle against her. I even had one of those beautiful first time playthroughs type moments where I yelled, cursed, and raised an outrageous emotional tantrum. "SPIDERBODY 8 LEG FREAKY *** *****! YOU ARE GOING DOWN IF IT TAKES ME ALL MOTHER *** DAY!"
