what should i trade out for the extra str?

IMO you should take 2 points from vit. You'll hardly notice any difference, but the extra str will give you more versatility.

one last question spur, what covenant should i join? im guessing the darkmoon covenant

My spontaneous answer would be the dragon cov, since it's my favorite. But don't join it unless you want to use the dragon body.

Depends on what you like. The gravelords, the darkwraiths and the darkmoons are the 3 big PvP covenants.
In the gravelords you just put down you sign and host, waiting for them to come to you. You will probably get invaded by a lot of darkwraiths before you get a spirit of vengeance (you get eyes of death from killing spirits of vengeance, and you need the eyes to keep gravelording).
The darkwraiths are probably the fastest PvP covenant. You invade people at a higher sl than you.
The darkmoons are slower than the darkwraiths, and you might invade someone who's at a lower sl than you.

It really depends on you personal preference.

well i was kinda searching around the dark souls forums for a group to hang out with, and yall really caught my eye. i read around the rules, and i loved every bit of it. so i contacted wyrm over psn, he told me to register which i did. gotta be honest, im loving it so far. everyone is helpful and nice, its a great change of pace.
