People we should cast of the Shackles of the DWGR, yes it is a usefull ring, but ultimately it cripples us as players, Ive started Mid rolling constantly and im quite good at it now i can dodge most spells, Pyro is still a pain in the ***, but flash sweat and menu swapping the Dragon/BK shield helps, Think of all your toons who use DWGR, how much stronger would they be if they had that ring slot spare, Plus if you are a Fast roller, you can up your defense and poise, i think everyone should at least give this is a go, if you think that Mid roll will get you Killed i will show you that it wont by dueling you, Bs fishers, unlock and kick i honestly THink Mid roll is teh way forward!!!

They'd have better stamina regen or attack below 20%hp, but I'd lose the ability to roll as an offensive manuver. I'm good. The roll attack is half the reason my enormous weapons actually work.

I can too, but only as a counter. At least with the zweih/dgm and large club, I fast roll or I die. With the washing pole I'll happily mid roll around.

I just don't see the beiber ring as something thats holding people back, as the timing adjustment only matters as long as one isn't using it. Thus the impact it may have on player skill is negated by the beiber ring itself.

One could argue that anything is a crutch. "Weapons are a crutch, a substitute for real skill. Skilled players fight with their fists."

It's all about developing my abilities by finding what works best for me and pushing my limits in those areas. Sometimes thats using the beiber ring, sometimes its not.

Fast roll and Flip are very similar, the timing for Mid roll is very different

I have no characters that use the DWGR, I find the ring to make it too easy and boring, so I prefer to medium roll, if the character is designed to do so.

I'm starting to do this as well. Uts funny, but ever since I discovered the dwgr I've used it. Its very telling that actually rolling feels foreign to me. silly
