Seath the Scaleless *Spoilers*

Well since the DLC is out, most people discuss only about Oolacile now and forgot about old stuff we didn't even got to a conclusion, for instance, out white scaleless friend we all hate, Seath, the Traitor, i'll talk a bit about him now so yea...

Ok the first thing we learn about Seath in the game is that hes a worthless, eyeless, scaleless traitor who did not betray a friend or a neighbor, HE BETRAYED HIS OWN SPECIES, could you imagine yourself siding with the dogs in a human vs dog war? Me neither... but Seath did it, only question now is why...

We all know via Logan that Seath wanted something the dragons had, the Primordial Crystal, that is why he turned on them and pillaged the damn thing, however i believe he had another reason other than this, maybe he wanted to eradicate the thing he envied his whole immortal existence but that is merely speculation, if i ware you guys, i'd stay with Logan's theory

Ok, with that sorted out, we come to recenter events, Gwyn settles in his city, and for the dragon that turned the tide he gave a few gratitude gifts, first, dukedom, that is right, WELCOME TO NOBILITY DRAGON!, second, a castle in the hills for him to fill with whatever he needed, third, complete freedom to pursue his research and fourth, a piece of the Lord Soul... so happy Seath moved in and started working

Ok so this is where things get complicated, you see, many people believe Seath was always evil, so right out of the box ill clear that out, HE WAS NOT, that is right, he was simply researching a way to achieve his ultimate dream... scales, just like Gwyndolin struggled to achieve his father's love, so did out little dragon, but he did not wanted just any scales, he wanted a special kind, one that would make him immortal... the Scales of Immortality (original huh...)

So, he was so immersed in his research, that after many years of failures he started to resort to more extreme measures as his sanity slipped away with his obsession, to the point he completely lost it and started to terrorize the remaining gods in the pantheon, like having his twisted servants, the serpent men, abduct the followers of Gwynevere to test on them (he may even be responsible of Gwyn's wife death and Gwyndolins repulsive appearance, but Gwyn never suspected his most "loyal" servant)

Ok so then we have the linking of the fire and Gwyns firstborn inherits the fire, the demon's invasion and Gwyndolins betrayal of the Firstborn, and Seath was very likely left in charge of taking care of his master's family (since he was Gwyn's right hand) obviously a bad idea, since he was bananas by the time, something that may have resulted in him artificially impregnating Gwynevere to breed Priscilla, which resulted in he marriage with Flann, for protection, and the diaspora of the gods, but that is speculation) then the Abyss started to take over Oolacile and the four knights became one knight, leaving everything very fragilized, so Seath sends his goons away to every corner to gather magical knowledge, hence their presence in the Darkroot Garden, Undead Church and Depths, holding Dusk hostage and in possession of Manus pendant

So Seath was alone with Gwyndolin in Anor Londo, which i believe that decided to hide on the tomb of his father and behind his Darkmoon warriors thanks to Seath's madness, but for some reason he locked himself away in his library and stopped freaking with everyone, but his servants are still spread across Lordran, like the Moonlight Butterfly and his Golems

Then the Chosen Undead shows up and end's his tormented delusional paranoia over the scales, finally freeing Lordran of the Mad Scientist's grip...

that is all i've got on him, i think he's a very interesting character and i wish i had more but sadly i don't, enjoy this, think about it, praise the sun peace out

What always bugged me about Seath is that he's supposed to be the GREATEST BLOODY MAGE EVER but he only uses one bloody spell the whole boss fight......idk

If you think about it it is in fact the best freaking spell ever the one he uses it, it has ridiculously high damage, long range, AND CURSES YOU... or maybe he's just old, mad and tired to care about using a giant catalyst to fk you up with a GIANT CRYSTAL SOUL ARROW OMG!!! don't let Fromsoft read this...

I'd fight with the dogs, just like how I fight with the dragons.

An old lecture from when I tried being a professor. Seath is probably all about himself. No loyalties, no respect, just what he can do for himself.

All I have to say is imagine Seath with Crystal Homing Soul mass and except on a much bigger scale!!!......

but more to topic I think in his last days Seath went Senile, now I don't mean insane.
He was already insane trying to get immortality, but I mean like the crazy grandpa that calls your dog Sir Regenold the Fifth and tells war stories to Sir Regenold crazy. He is insanely intelligent, not only as a situation genius for his part in the flame war but also as a scholar and what does he do when you meet him? is there any dialogue? any little snide remarks? nope! just lots and lots of SEATH WANT SMASH SMALL UNDEAD, I have no real backing behind this but Seath feels unfinished.....idk like there should be way more to him

Seath is kind of complicated, like all insane people would be, we can't try to understand what goes in his mind, but i'd say he does not talk to you because you would not understand his language, like the fair lady, notice how no dragons in the game ever speak, maybe their primeval language is too complex for you to comprehend (maybe the calamity ring changes this?) but notice how he rushes down to defend the crystal the moment you step close to it, meaning that even insane, he still got the common sense of priority.

Also another reason for him to speaking to you is like "This lowly specimen is not worth even my words..." meaning he's also egocentric, just a few facts that are awesome...

As a fun fact, it is entirely possible that Seath was blinded when the fog cleared and the sun shone on the earth. He is specifically said to be an albino, and albinos have to be careful with their eyes when out in the sun (along with their skin, of course). It almost seems poetic for him to help slay the dragons and get blinded in return.
